Meeting with a representative of the World Bank

On January 11 of this year, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilkhom Norkulov met with a World Bank specialist on agriculture, head of the project "Development of rural Entrepreneurship. Stage II” by Dilshod Khidirov.

        The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Mirzohid Ubaidullayev, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Protocol Service Shukhrat Matkarimov, Director of the Department of Development of Green and Innovative Economy Utkir Kholbadalov, Head of the Cooperation Department of the World Bank Group Behzod Hamroev, Head of the Department for Coordination of Structural Reforms in Agriculture Odil Usarov, Head of the Department for Sustainability, Analysis and Forecasting of the Domestic Food Market Akrom Muminov.

 During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the implementation of the project "Development of Rural Entrepreneurship Stage II", in particular, the components of the project, the scope of activities to be carried out within the framework of the Mahallabai project, the organization of local business incubators, its technical and financial aspects, the creation of new and sustainable jobs.

         The sides also exchanged views on the status of projects in the agro-industrial complex, deep reform and further development of the industry, the introduction of new "green" technologies, the use of renewable water resources.

        At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation on the above issues and plans for the future.
