🧬 About the role
As Medical Writing Team Lead, you'll combine scientific expertise with leadership.
You'll be responsible for the quality, consistency, and development of our Medical Writing team while remaining actively involved in reviewing and creating scientific content.
Working closely with Project Managers, Designers, Animators, and our clients, you'll ensure every project meets the highest standards of scientific accuracy, clarity, and engagement.

🚀 What you'll do
• Lead, mentor, and support our team of Medical Writers
• Set the scientific quality standard across all projects
• Review scripts, storyboards, publications, and other medical content, providing clear and constructive feedback
• Translate complex clinical research into engaging, scientifically accurate communication for healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, Animators, and clients throughout project development
• Support the professional growth of team members through coaching and mentoring
• Improve departmental workflows, quality assurance, and best practices
• Participate in client meetings as the scientific expert when needed
• Contribute hands-on to medical writing projects where your expertise adds value
🎯 What we're looking forRequired
• MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Medical Writing, Medical Communications, Scientific Communications, or Medical Education
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching medical writers or scientific teams
• Strong understanding of clinical research, scientific publications, and pharmaceutical communications
• Exceptional scientific writing, editing, and reviewing skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Comfortable working in a remote, international environment
Nice to have
• Experience working with global pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies
• Experience supporting Medical Affairs or Commercial teams
• Experience with digital medical education or interactive scientific communication
• Availability for occasional overlap with US working hours (approximately 12:00–20:30 CET)
