IIRC, "tune up" is a legacy term for when it was the norm to send your car into the shop so the mechanics could tune the spark timings. That's back when the spark timing was mechanical. Now spark timing is mostly computer-aided or driven electronics. Tune Up now probably means a gluttony of regular servicing terms. Reply reply mortalcrawad66 •
