ran into a situation with my best friend's wife that I handled very poorly. My friend and his wife have been good friends with both me and my wife and live just a few doors down. One day that I had off of work, I stayed home while my wife went shopping. My friend's wife came by looking for my wife. She said she did not expect me to be home at that time of day and said she wanted to let my wife know she was using our cloths line to hang up her swimming suit. She was wearing one of those long loose sleeveless shirts that women sometimes wear over their swimming suit, but she did not have a suit on under it. She was wearing nothing under the shirt. The suit was hanging on our line. Well I don't think this shirt was meant to be worn with nothing under it for it was far to revealing. I told her my wife would be home soon and she decided to wait for her. She sat on a stool and drank a soda, which I offered her. Her shirt was so open in the front that I could see her breasts. She also sat in a manner where I could see between her legs and see her genitals. She seemed to not be aware that she was exposing herself to me. She just sat there talking about her husband while I enjoyed the view.
Some buddies of mine dropped by while she was there. I did not want them to see her, but they came in so fast I could not stop them. I quickly introduced them to her and got them to leave as soon as I could. I hoped they didn't see anything but later found out that was not the case. They too had a good look at her and later told me and others in detail what they saw and how sexy she looked.
After they left, she commented how I seemed to be in a hurry to get them to leave. As she was saying this, she must have noticed I was looking at her because she stopped speaking in mid sentence. She moved her legs together and pulled down her shirt to better cover herself. She then folded held her arms over her breasts and said she had better leave. She left without saying anything more. She never said anything to my wife about this and as far as I know, she didn't mention it to her husband either.
I now feel very bad. Here was the wife of a good friend, unaware she was exposing herself, and instead of looking away or letting her know she was not properly covered, I took advantage of the situation and let her continue exposing herself to me and even other guys. Now she seems uncomfortable around me. What should I do? Should I talk to her about this? Should I tell my wife (whom I love dearly)? Should I tell my best friend? Should I keep it a secret? Should I act as though I didn't see anything? Any advice would help.
First of all, I don't think you did a thing wrong. The view was there, you took a look - if a mountain appeared right in front of you, you'd look, you wouldn't have a chance not to. You didn't invite your buddies over on purpose to gawk at this woman, they just happened by.
Secondly, my humble opinion is this woman knew EXACTLY what she was doing. WHY remains the question. Her feeble excuse of hanging up her suit on your clothes line is just that - feeble. She could have hung her suit in her own shower or anyplace in her own house. The fact that she showed up at your house naked under a shirt sounds to me like she wanted someone to look. It's pretty hard when you show up somewhere pretty much fully exposed to the world to be unaware of it. If she's the one who feels uncomfortable, well, she should. She's supposed to be a friend of your wife's and she shows up at your house in that condition! Come on!...
If I were you I would just act like nothing happened. If she continues to act like she's uncomfortable around you, that's her problem, she created the situation herself.
Though I don't know how she could have not known she was exposing herself, I honestly believe it was accidental. She isn't the kind of person who would purposely do something like that. I've known her for some time and found her to be very friendly and caring, but never flirtatious. She just seemed careless when she sat down. Either way, I feel bad that she became upset by the episode. When my wife came home, she saw the suit on the line and noticed a bird had done a dropping on it. She washed it for her and gave it back clean and dry.

If you truly feel it was accidental, then I would just leave the situation alone. There's no need to upset yourself, your wife or your neighbor if this was accidental. I fail to see tho' how she could have sat there, drank a soda, met your friends when they showed up and not notice her exposed condition.... but just give her the benefit of the doubt then and forget about it.
