She arrived in Venice earlier this week as her new film Mainstream is set to make its debut at the 77th Film Festival.
But Maya Hawke enjoyed a break away from the big screen as she headed to the beach with a group of friends on Friday.
The Stranger Things star, 22, who is the daughter of Hollywood star Uma Thurman, showed off her incredible physique in a black thong two-piece as she stripped down to her underwear for a dip in the ocean.

After drying herself off with a fluffy towel, the upcoming actress donned a khaki camouflage tracksuit and sat on a day bed with her pals.
Maya got her breakout role as Robin on Netflix's Stranger Things aged just 20. Her new film Mainstream is set to make its debut at the 77th Venice Film Festival.
While the plot remains under wraps, Maya stars in the film alongside Andrew Garfield, Nat Wolff and Jason Schwartzman.

The Venice Film Festival is one of the world's oldest award ceremonies and is listed as one of the 'Big Five' events. It started on Wednesday and ends on the 12 September.
Though the event is still taking place, it is a markedly toned down affair to previous years amid the coronavirus crisis, with temperature checks and mask wearing becoming mandatory.
Maya's appearance comes after she appeared to confirm her budding romance with Sienna Miller's ex Tom Sturridge, 34, in New York City in August.

Since Stranger Things season four suspended filming in Atlanta back in mid-March, Maya has been quarantining in upstate New York at the homes of her famous parents Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Delighted to be spending some quality time with her daughter, Uma, 49, posted a picture of herself giving Maya a haircut in April, she wrote on Instagram: 'Home hair cuts bring us back home. We are all finding ourselves again.'
Maya discussed her living situation in an interview with Nylon , and lamented losing her independence in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

In addition to Maya, Ethan Hawke and ex-wife Uma also share an 18-year-old son named Levon.
Ethan and second wife Ryan, whom he married in 2009, have children Clementine, 12, and Indiana, nine, together. While Uma also has daughter Luna, eight.

We've done some digging and unearthed pics that Uma would just gasp at.
Is Maya Hawke just another starlet born into Hollywood royalty? Well, yes, she's the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. But there's a HUGE difference between her and the vast amount of young actors with famous parents ---- it's that Maya's actually cool AF! Not only is Maya stylish, engaging, beautiful, and somewhat mysterious, but she's also a force to be reckoned with in the acting department. Yeah, we really like this girl. She practically stole the show in Stranger Things Season 3 and even had a small role in Tarantino's latest film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood . And yet, the absurdly gorgeous Maya has been pretty reclusive, making it hard to come across photos of her. But we've done some digging and unearthed pics that Uma would just gasp at. Without further ado, here are 20 photos of Maya Hawke that Uma Thurman would rather we not look at.
Uma would probably want us to avoid seeing these pics of her daughter on the red-carpet promoting her brand new film, Human Capital , at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. Why? Because she looks like a star. And Uma knows the baggage that comes with it. These photos remind her (and us) that Maya is on her way to becoming one of the biggest things in the industry. And that's and that's a scary thought for a mom.
Maya's garden photoshoot isn't traditionally provocative and that's one of the reasons it has Uma on edge. It sets the stage for so much more to come. After all, Maya is teasing the camera with askew shoulder straps and messy locks. This is a young actor making us wonder about her. She's promoting her allure in a creative, fun, but in a very sensual way. Frankly, we just can't get enough of this babe!
Every parent is a bit worried about young love. Although Maya hasn't publically spoken about her connection with Gus Wenner, son of Rolling Stone founder Jan Wenner, we pretty much assume these two are an item. After all, they post very intimate photos of one another and just seem like a couple. We bet Uma hopes that Gus doesn't live the lifestyle of the rockers portrayed in his father's magazine.
Uma Thurman is obviously proud of her daughter. But there has to be a part of her that feels a bit upstaged. After all, this kind of jealousy is endemic in Hollywood, especially when it comes to actors. They're insecure and overly sensitive. It's part of the reason why they're good at what they do. So, the fact that Maya has been upstaging her mother at events like these ones can't float supremely well with the Pulp Fiction star.
Like her mom, Maya knows that her legs are a total asset. She wouldn't show them off in her photos the way she does if she wasn't certain of it. It's remarkable just how alike she and her mom look. Both are beautiful, inspirational, and talented women worthy of our utmost respect. ...But that doesn't mean us thirsty folk can't ogle a bit.
It's highly unlikely that Quentin Tarantino cared that Maya Hawke was about to star in Stranger Things 3 before he cast her in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood . He hired her because she knocked her audition out of the park and that she was Uma Thurman's daughter.
Uma, of course, has been one of the acclaimed director's female muses for years. Now it seems Maya will be stepping up to the plate, along with other gorgeous women such as Margot Robbie, Margaret Qualley, and the outrageously beautiful Sydney Sweeney. but after seeing these pics from the premiere, we can see that Maya is teeing herself up for the role. Her stylish, sensual, and playful look is what every director wants.
Hollywood marriages don't seem to last longer than a doctor's appointment nowadays. Unfortunately, Uma Thurman's marriage to actor Ethan Hawke was only a five-year stint. But during that time they had the wonderful Maya. Even if Uma and Ethan are on decent terms, we can't imagine Uma being too thrilled with the sheer amount of photos of her daughter being close with her ex. Sure, she'd want her to have a connection with Ethan. But where are all the images of Maya and Uma together?
Yeah, there's a bunch of creepy websites that only focus on famous women's feet. Seriously, look it up. You'll be shocked. The sheer amount of detail these people go into is kind of worrisome. And there's no doubt that Uma Thurman would be a tad concerned when seeing this photo of her daughter. Because there's no way that this photo isn't ending up on their site.
No protective parent would want to see their kid playing with a butcher knife like this. That's just irresponsible behavior. it's playing with fire. One wrong move and that knife is going somewhere it shouldn't be. It should be going into that beautifully designed cake. Seriously, how aesthetically pleasing is that!?
Maya strikes us as that free and fun-loving flower-child who has no issues with the human body. This naturally attractive young woman isn't the type to cake on make-up and follow the fraudulent consumeristic trends of the Kardashian and Jenner clan. That's gotta make Uma happy. But the fact that Maya just doesn't care who sneaks a peek at her curvy form must have her a tad worried.
Just look at Maya flirting with the camera. She's gotta know how seductive she's coming across in this photoshoot. Once again, we have a young star who has no issues giving us an idea about what it would be like to wake up next to her. Or go to bed with her, for that matter. If Uma isn't raising an eyebrow at this, Ethan Hawke almost certainly is.
Here's a look at three times Maya Hawke got dressed up and rocked the red carpet. As you can see, she's an absolute pro at the young age of 21. If this is how she steals attention at 21, just imagine how much she'll be grabbing when she's 25, 30, or 35. That's when the entire world is gonna want a piece of her. And that's a worrisome thought to any protective and loving parent like Uma.
Oh, Maya, how red looks good on you. There's nothing like a bath of crimson color to make you appear even more seductive than your parents already made you. Speaking of them, it's highly unlikely that they are too thrilled with this photoshoot. Sure, they appreciate great art. But you're their daughter, and you look like an advertisement fit for a shop window in a certain part of Amsterdam.
Yet another photoshoot of Maya looking too pretty for her own good. Once again, we can see that this is a woman who marches to the beat of her own drum. And her flower-child meets Lana Del Rey image is what makes her so seductive. There's something about a woman who teases her form like this that makes her even more attractive than just straight out flaunting it. Then again, maybe we're just so enamored by Maya that she could be wearing just about anything...
Wind-swept hair. Salty skin. The crash of the ocean. Here's Maya pulling a full Daniel Craig from Casino Royale ; strutting out of the ocean like everybody in the world is watching. And boy are we ever. Although she's not wearing a trendy bikini, Maya's gone for a form-fitting one-piece that keeps our attention just the same.
Workouts have become a way to show people how fit and hot you are versus actually getting fit and hot. So, it should be reasonable to suggest that Uma is a tad worried about the effect this pic would have on Maya's thirsty fan base. But, unlike most attractive people her age, she actually looks like she's working out for the physical and emotional gains versus the likes and retweets.
When a girl jumps in a pool fully-clothed at a party, it's pretty much a game-changer. It means actual fun is about to go down. Things are going to get wild and inhibitions are going to be broken. Maya is inspiring these exact feelings in these two photoshoots. They prove that she's a fun-loving, somewhat wild, sensual being with a taste for the unconventional.
Maya Hawke certainly isn't the first Hollywood starlet to show off how hot AF a sweater can be when matched with thigh-highs, bedroom eyes, and a mop of entangled hair. Lily Collins, Barbara Palvin, Beyonce, and Natalie Portman have all done the same. The effect these shoots had on viewers is the same as this one; we know just how downright sensual a fitted sweater can be when used correctly.
It's not like the characters on Euphoria should be seen as role-models. They spend their days partying, doing things they shouldn't, and completely forgetting about any responsibilities and dreams beyond those in high school. So, Maya dressing like a character from the hit HBO show should inspire fear in Uma Thurman. Luckily for her, she also likes to play Tudor-dress-up as well. Phew!
Maya Hawke has all of the most recognizable physical features as her talented and famous mother. She has the tall, slender figure. The pale skin. The long neck. The large bust. And those striking doe-eyes. Given the fact that Uma has experienced so much destructive attention throughout her career, we bet that she's worried the same will happen to her daughter.
