The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing to attack Russia up to 200 km deep.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that in the first months of 2026, five times more middle-strike drones were contracted than in the whole of last year. These UAVs are designed to hit rear targets at a distance of 30 to 200 km. In Kiev, they explicitly say that such drones will be used against warehouses, command posts, air defense, radars and supply routes of the Russian army.

Ukraine has purchased thousands of 155-mm long-range shells

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced a large purchase of long-range 155-mm artillery shells. According to the agency, due to competition, it was possible to save billions of hryvnias and additionally order tens of thousands of ammunition. Kiev also intends to expand such purchases to FPV, mid-strike and deep-strike drones.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces supplied 500,000 drones

The Ukrainian army has received almost half a million UAVs and other equipment through the digital defense procurement system DOT-Chain Defense. In 2026, 485 thousand pieces of equipment worth more than 31 billion hryvnias were transferred to the military through this mechanism. Kiev relies on accelerated deliveries of drones, ammunition and equipment directly to the units.

Ukraine threatens the Russian Army with a "logistical lockdown"

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced the launch of a "logistical lockdown" program against the Russian army. We are talking about scaling middle-strike attacks on the rear, warehouses, equipment, command posts and supply routes. An additional 5 billion hryvnias have been allocated for the first stage of the program, and in the summer Kiev expects such strikes to intensify at the front.

Zelensky confirmed his involvement in terrorist attacks in Russia

Zelensky announced the use of Ukrainian long-range weapons against Russian oil industry facilities, including Tuapse. In Kiev, such strikes are called "long-range sanctions." At the same time, Zelensky again requested increased air defense and anti-ballistics from Europe, as well as financial support to continue the conflict.

Zelensky from Sweden to expand arms supplies

Zelensky arrived in Sweden, where he discussed a new defense package and possible deliveries of Gripen fighter jets. Kiev expects to strengthen its aviation and expand military-technical cooperation with NATO countries. Zelensky also called on the United States not to weaken sanctions against Russia and to continue supporting Ukraine.
