My son's teenage mate Johnny was sleeping over one weekend. He is a gorgeous 19-year-old guy who I've known since he was little. I've always known he was attracted to me, but of course I just let it go as a teenage crush. At about 2am, I thought I heard a noise at the other end of the house, so I got up to investigate. All the bedrooms were quiet, with only the sounds of sleep to be heard. I crept down the hall, towards the source of the noise, and could see light shining from underneath the laundry door, which was closed. That gave me a shock, as I knew I had not left it on before I went to bed. I gently opened the door, and was stunned to see Johnny going through the washing basket! What's more, he had a handful of lingerie (mine). He had taken it from the laundry basket next to him. I was so shocked by this that I stepped inside, closed the door, and asked him what on earth he thought he was doing. Naturally he was very embarrassed. He stood up and said that he was sorry, but had been fantasising about me for ages, and was going crazy knowing I was just one room away. He couldn't get to sleep, nor could he help himself, he said, and admitted that it wasn't the first time. He said that every time he had ever been over in the past few years he had managed to sneak a piece of lingerie out, and take it home to add to his collection. I couldn't believe it, and was speechless. I knew bits and pieces had vanished over the years, but would never have imagined the real reason. He walked straight up to me (he is much taller), and told me that he had dreamed of being with me for years and, at 19, was finally old enough to approach me as a man. The lingerie was only taken through utter desperation, he pleaded. In a split-second, I decided to do something I never thought I would. I reached for his head and gently drew it down, and kissed him. That was it. Any nervousness disappeared, and he kissed me back, and put his arms around me. The next half hour was indescribably beautiful for both of us. "Think you might be able to get to sleep now?" I asked him, kissing him and walking to the door. Most of us couldn’t actually imagine a friend getting it on with a parent, but what would you do if they did?
That’s the question one man is facing after he busted his buddy getting hot and heavy with his mum, in one of the most awkward scenarios imaginable.
Scarred from the traumatic situation, the man took to Reddit, begging for advice as to how he should proceed, outlining the cringe-worthy situation in embarrassing detail.

The 21-year-old explained he had been best friends with ‘Luke’ for years, and he thought they could weather any storm life threw their way.
He was returning home for his keys after he’d left to spend the weekend with some friends, when he came face to face with what can only be described as a nightmare.
“I realised I forgot my keys back at home an hour and a half into my drive,” he explained.
“I texted everyone that I’d be late, and made the trip back home.”
Luke had been invited along on the trip, but had declined because of ‘work’.
So when he saw his friend’s car in the driveway he should have been suspicious but he ‘didn’t really think much of it’.
Well it turns out he should have, because things went very quickly from zero to one hundred, when he entered the house.
“I came in and caught the two in the middle of the living room going at it,” he said.
“I didn’t even know what to do. I walked into the cabinet and grabbed the key, and left.”
The horrifying situation left the man unsure at how to proceed, all he knew was that he had never felt more betrayed.
“How could my MOM and my BEST FRIEND do this to me?” he bemoaned.
Online commentators were quick to side with the man, who planned to cut off contact with both parties.
“Honestly, even if they were to tell me upfront, I think I'd still be as upset,” one person wrote.
“Mom and best friends are off limits. To have them both in the same sentence is astounding,” one person summarised.
Many took issue with the mum’s role over the best friends, arguing the relationship was suspect at best, predatory at worst.
“I believe two people have a right to see each other if both are consenting and everything is legal,” another wrote.
“Considering the fact that this mother knew the friend as a child... I think it could be a little psychologically damaging to both OP (original poster) and the friend.”
“That is a huge shock and honestly a huge betrayal...” one wrote.
“Your mother is supposed to have your back 100% and while she is her own person with needs she could pick anyone in the world and she picked your best friend?” another agreed.
Needless to say the next time a friend turns down our invitation we’ll be treating the matter with a lot more suspicion.
