Back in the early 2020s, Matt Martin was the heart and soul of the Islanders—a fearless warrior on the ice, beloved by fans and feared by opponents. But during a fateful team trip to a remote training facility, Martin and a few teammates set sail for a team-bonding fishing excursion. A sudden storm swept them off course, and their boat was lost at sea. The other players were eventually rescued, but Martin was never found.

Years later, fishermen began reporting eerie sightings near an uncharted island. They spoke of a towering figure in a tattered Islanders jersey, patrolling the rocky shores, wielding a hockey stick like a weapon. Some claimed he guarded a hidden treasure—a lost Stanley Cup, perhaps—while others whispered that he was cursed, doomed to defend the island forever.

In 2035, a documentary crew led by former teammate Casey Cizikas set out to uncover the truth. They arrived at Matt Martin Island, where they found:

A makeshift hockey rink carved into the cliffs.

Strange markings resembling faceoff circles and goalposts.

A cave filled with old Islanders memorabilia, including a jersey with the name 'MARTIN' still intact.
