this movie really impressed me, there's a lot going on here. the structure is extremely cunning, the manipulation of time is not pointless as with so many contemporary art films, there is a real payoff, in fact the disruption of temporal unity is here a very subtle instrument with very definite and easily understood and appreciated reasons for the film playing out this way. there are a number of unforgettable scenes and sequences, very touching ones, very clever ones, very meaningful. the basic idea of the movie is so ... daring and deep . . . the filmmakers almost revel in the poverty of budget the image quality is tenuous at times to great effect. this is not just another lurid Filipino/gay melodrama, it's not terribly titillating for that matter. it's in a higher class than the wonderful lino brocka movies, and like him the essence here is . .. a sort of dark tenderness, a sad love. fantastic film.

Jack is a real scum-bag who is going to marry Kristy. He has a bad habit of sleeping with other women and stealing all of her money. Two weeks before their marriage, Kristy sees Jack having sex with their maid, Rosa. It turns out that he was threatening Rosa into having sex as well as his secretary Diane. When he goes away on business, Kristy, Rosa, and Diane devise a way to get him back for all of the things he has put them through. They also decide to turn his house into a special massage parlor for a few nights so Kristy can try to make some of the money back that Jack stole from her.

This is the story an incel tells the police before they find the hacked up Hooters waitress, who he truly believed loved him, buried under his floorboards.
287: Interesting adult feature from director Paul Thomas finds awkward virgin Randy Spears going to see Masseuse Hyapatia Lee and as things get more intimate so do their feelings. What sets this one apart is Randy Spears isn’t really an obvious choice for playing an awkward virgin, so seeing him tone down his personality adds a bit of menace to this. You can’t help but wonder if he’s a ticking time bomb. The other thing that sets this apart is despite the cast list this is really a two person character study. Only Spears and Lee perform in the sex scenes, and the film doesn’t suffer for it. Director Thomas has a clear story to tell, and adult is the perfect genre to explore it. It makes for a complicated film that is pretty rewarding all around.
