Not sure about tipping? Gratuities are customary and not automatically included on most services. (Certain requests such as groups/multiple therapists and some hotel locations may be quoted an 18% tip-included price). The average tip is between 15% and 20%. If you are paying by credit card and wish to add an 18% gratuity (before any discounts) just ask for your massage to be “all inclusive”. Cash tips are welcomed as well.

How far in advance do I need to schedule my appointment?
A:) Body Well can accommodate appointments in as little as one hour, however, whenever possible we prefer as much advance notice as possible. The more time we have to assign your therapist, the more flexibility we have to find the therapist we feel is the best fit for your specific needs.
What kinds of massages are performed?
A:) When you consider the combined skill sets of the dozens of professional therapists we work with, we perform practically every kind of professional massage therapy. The one thing we do not do is “sensual” massage, or any kind of “massage” of a sexual nature.
We are here to do everything possible to ensure that you get the massage you want. Please let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to find the right therapist to accommodate your specific needs.
Who are the therapists you work with?
A:) Our therapists are all licensed by the State of Florida and possess personal liability insurance. They undergo a rigorous screening process, which includes both an oral and practical interview, in order for us to evaluate their character and skill level. We only contract therapists who we would be happy to pay to work on us (something we often do!).
Is your “one-hour” massage really just 50 minutes?
A:) Absolutely not! One hour means one hour! You will receive 60 minutes on the table. If you feel that you have received a minute less, please call the office and let us know.
How do I prepare for my massage? What will the therapist bring?
A:) All you need to do is make sure you have space for the therapist to set up the massage table and be able to work around it (about 6’ to 7’ in length and 4’ in width). Your therapist will bring all the supplies needed, including massage oil and/or lotion (most therapists carry both but if you require one or the other please let us know in advance), sheets and towels. If you would like to make a special request such as music or candles, please inform the appointment coordinator helping you.
Once your therapist has prepared the table for you, he or she will allow you the privacy to disrobe to your comfort level and position yourself on the table underneath a sheet or towel. Our therapists use professional draping techniques, so your privacy will be respected at all times.
I hate when a therapist talks during the massage. I just want to relax. How can I avoid this?
A:) Usually this goes without saying, however if you have this concern, or ANY other, please be sure to let your appointment coordinator know and we will pass the instructions on to the therapist. That is what we are here for!
A:) If you are satisfied with your service, it is customary to offer a gratuity to your massage therapist. Tip as you would at a restaurant – 15% to 20%, or more for exceptional service.
I would like to have massage regularly. How can Body Well help me with this?
A:) First, we have package pricing available to lower the cost of massages when purchased in advance. Check our prices page for details.
Second, the great thing about working with Body Well is that you can always try another therapist! Some people find one massage therapist they love, and stick with them forever. Hot stones are not heated in 135 degree water, that is actually far too hot to be held safely, and much too hot to be placed on a client. We actually keep the temperature ideally between 120 and 125.
I was referred to this therapist by a neighbor in my building. They had been getting massage from her for years and she comes in home. This was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I received a deep tissue in a private office by a male therapist who was great. I asked why his rates are cheaper, he stated to me that he doesn't have an overhead at his location plus he usually receives a tip. I gave him a big tip because he deserved it. Never experienced his style of massage but it was the best and it works.
I receive a weekly massage at home by an experienced massage therapist and it is well worth it to not need to drive afterwards. He is a skilled and professional masseur. It took me an while to find the right person but I am so happy to have such an amazing service. It is fabulous every week. I highly right commend this therapist. Ask if you want the number of my therapist.
I was in a lot of pain and I had my massage without asking the fee. The shop was not in a hotel, just a spa in a strip mall. My husband found the place on the internet. One of the reviews said that it was reasonable. My mistake was not asking before the service. I will say that the deep muscle massage did help and they got me in the same day. But $150 plus asking for a tip when signing the bill. I gave 20 more. $170!
I highly recommend combining massage with chiropractic or a health club. It feels like the muscles I use get better so much faster. I am happy when the insurance reimburses the practitioner. I also included a 20% tip and I'm grateful I feel so much better.
Prices don't give consumers any idea of quality since any spa's price is the same whether the therapist just graduated or has 10 years of experience. I work 3 days a week at a luxury hotel spa and 3 days in private practice. This year I instituted seasonal pricing. Celebrating 7 years in practice and bringing 5 star sensibility to my work, $100/hr for the convenience of a house call is reasonable while the snowbirds are in town.
Marty I am a LMP of 11 yrs around the Seattle area. It is normal for chiropractor offices to bill insurance 140-160 per massage. The insurance company will pay a percentage so it depends on what company you are with. Most offices don't actually get as much as they bill for unless it's car insurance or lni. The LMP usually is an employee so they get a set price per client typically and that is anywhere from 20-40 an hr and average pay is around 25. So its unfortunate and sad you had this experience. Not all lmps or businesses charge the client this much that's ridiculous.

Thought $30.00 co-pay was all I had to pay. My UHC insurance says 17 covered per year. They only covered 2. BUT $340.00 ?????? Way over priced. Doesn't this sound like a rip-off? Not if or what I owe now. Won't be going back there.
I am a Massage Therapist. Answering to Cats Meows post, I didn't know that you could have a business for WOMEN ONLY. Is that legal? I would say ~50% of my clients are men, which are from the women getting their husbands in to work on the sore areas or tight back/neck,etc. But, She is missing out on a LOT of clients! I live in the Midwest, $50 is the average price here.
