I think the biggest temptation for most guys going to Chiang Mai are the many soapy massage parlors and happy ending massage salons that are spread all around town. I have already covered all these bigger soapy massage parlors with fishbowls in my Chiang Mai nightlife guide , so today I will go into more detail to the smaller massage salons .
You might ask yourself: Why do I write a guide on massages when you can basically just randomly walk around town and will surely find more than enough of these little massage salons? Well, that’s because only certain areas are known for providing hand jobs or blow jobs to their customers, while others offer strictly only massage.
Look at this room in one of the massage salons near the Tha Phae Gate – do you think they give happy endings there?
Well, as it turns out there is only one massage lady in this place that gives you a hand job at the end of your massage while all other girls (or rather women) won’t do that. Therefore you should better know which area to go to right away where you have a bigger selection of girls to choose from.
The best area for happy ending massages in Chiang Mai is on Loi Kroh Road.
Usually the easiest way to tell if the masseuses in one particular massage salon offer “specials” is to look at how they are dressed : If they wear long and traditional Thai massage dresses, then you should probably keep walking. But if they wear short skirts and tight shirts, then that’s usually the sign that you are at the right place.
Also, as you approach the place and one or more of the girls become extremely excited and yell at you things like “hello, lovely man! Where you going? Welcome massage!” and even put their hands out to grab you like usually only the ladyboys do it, then that’s also almost a guarantee that she could hold your dick in her one hand and an oil bottle in her other hand in 30 minutes from now.
And if that’s still not easy enough for you, look out for this one: Regular masseuses usually sit in front of their stores (if at all, often they would just wait for customers inside). But if you see girls standing in front of the salons and waving at you with their service menu, then that’s another sign that you can expect some extras here.
Alright, enough with all the general info, here are the 3 main areas with massage salons in Chiang Mai:
Loi Kroh Road is not only the most popular nightlife area among tourists in Chiang Mai with a lot of hotels, western restaurants and girly bars , but this is also where you will find the highest concentration of happy ending massage salons in town. The masseuses are also the youngest and most attractive ones in this category (you can verify that by checking out my video at the end of the guide), and if you want to try something new, then you can even find some hot ladyboys working in these massage salons. I personally don’t like these places though, because most of the girls have a bit of an ego and many of them ask for 1,000 Baht for a hand job which is ridiculous. That’s what you should pay for a blow job – at most. But well, if you are into having a young Thai girl sucking your dick, then you will definitely have the best chances here on Loi Kroh Road – it’s very unusual that they do blow jobs in the other areas.
Sridonchai Road runs parallel to Loi Kroh Road. It often gets completely overlooked by guys looking for a happy ending massage, but in fact you can find almost as many massage salons here than on Loi Kroh Road. Also, the girls are not nearly as pushing and over-diligent than up in the tourist area. Just give this street a try, the only downside is that there is not really anything else of interest apart from the massage salons.
The Tha Phae Gate is one of the areas with the nicest atmospheres in Chiang Mai. Lots of cosy bars and restaurants here, and there’s also no shortage of massage salons. You will find the ladies sitting outside, as usual, but it’s quite difficult to say who will provide a happy ending here.
But that’s what it makes it also quite exciting – while on Loi Kroh Road some girls will ask you after just five or ten minutes “what you want?”, it’s well possible that around the Tha Phae Gate you pick an innocent looking massage lady in her 30ies that will just give you an oily hand job at the end of the hour without even discussing a price – you would then just give her whatever tip you think is appropriate (see below for the information on the typical prices).
Completely unknown to most tourists are the erotic massage spas in Chiang Mai. No, I’m not talking about the soapy massages with fishbowls here. This is a completely different category and if you ask me, the best type of place to go for the best massage experience. The girls are really hot – much more attractive than the average girl on Loi Kroh Road or even in the soapies.
The two most popular places in this category are Absolute Paradise Spa (photo) and Raspberry Spa . They are located well off the tourist areas in the eastern part of town – I have marked their exact locations on the map at the end of the guide.
The way it works in these places is that you pay a fixed price (around 1,200-1,500 Baht) for a body to body massage including hand job. Yes, you read it right: It is a body to body with lots of oil that you may know from some Japanese adult movies on the internet. These places are more and more difficult to find throughout Thailand (as the soapies usually don’t offer it any longer), but fortunately here in Chiang Mai there are quite a few of these “spas”.
And then you can talk with the girl if you want any “upgrades” such as a blow job or sex. Of course these places also have 4 hands massages, tantric massages, prostate massages etc. available – it kind of reminds you of the infamous special massages in Sukhumvit Soi 22, Soi 24/1 and Soi 33 in Bangkok (check out my guide on happy ending massages in Bangkok for more info).
I would recommend you Absolute Paradise and Raspberry Spa to start with, and if you get addicted and want to check out more (quite possible) then you can also give the Office Club and Fang VIP a try.
What you will notice is that the standard rates for massages in Chiang Mai are around 100 Baht cheaper than in Bangkok. Means here you would usually pay 200 Baht for an 1 hour Thai Massage (in Bangkok it’s usually 300 Baht) and 300 Baht for an 1 hour Oil Massage (at most, in Bangkok it’s usually 400 Baht).
Needless to say that if you want a happy ending, you should take the Oil Massage. Thai Massage would work, too, if you don’t like it that “slippery”, but don’t take a foot massage as you don’t get a private massage area for that (means no extras).
And the typical prices for the happy endings in Chiang Mai are as follows:
Important: If you want a blow job then your best chances are on Loi Kroh Road (even though not every lady there would do it, you may want to inquire beforehand), and if you want to go 100% sure then just go to one of the erotic massage salons (see above) – that may turn out a little bit more expensive (about 2,000 Baht including the body to body massage) but the girls there are much more attractive and the whole experience is much better and less pushing than on Loi Kroh Road.

If I had to describe Phi Phi in one sentence: Phi Phi is the Panama City Beach of the Thai islands. The most beautiful shit hole I have ever seen. This town has everything a college kid could want: $5 dollar buckets of alcohol, all night beach parties, sketchy massages, and the most picturesque beaches one could fancy. When we got to our hostel, we were somewhat shocked when we walked in the door. Twenty beds in one room with an isle down the middle big enough for one person to walk down is where we called “home” for 4 days. There was no sleeping in the room, only attempts at resting your eyes. The first night people partied in the room until 8:30 in the morning. The hostel owner was also quite interesting as she tried to sleep with all the male foreigners that stayed in the place.
Garrett and I decided it would be nice to get out of the room, relax, and get a massage together the first night. We knew we were in trouble when two Thai masseuses asked us to have sex in front of them. I think they might have snorted something as they kept sniffling and coughing the entire time we were there. As the massage continued they made moaning noises and kept offering happy endings. I sat up twice and sternly told them that we weren’t interested and only wanted a normal massage. Plus, they obviously knew we were gay as we laid there holding hands during the massage. When the most uncomfortable massage of our lives was over and we were exiting, I told the Thai girls how terrible it was and I didn’t even feel like they deserved to be paid the full amount. Well, Crazy Happy Ending Thai Girl (as I will refer to her from now on) didn’t like that, and tried to punch me in the face. I gave her the 500 Bhat we agreed on for the two massages ($15) and then she shoved me in the back when leaving. Garrett and I had a few buckets in us and began to get to get vocal with her after she just assaulted me for complaining about how sketchy of a massage place it was. That really set her over the edge. The next thing I knew, she grabbed some metal object that looked like a crutch and began chasing us down the street. As she came at me swinging, striking me over the back of the neck, I yelled in front of a large crown “Sorry we are gay and didn’t want your happy endings!” Everyone in the crowd got a kick out of the craziness unfolding in front of them, except Crazy Happy Ending Thai Girl. She got one more swing in on me before turning her beady eyes towards Garrett and hitting him with the crutch. Our crazy little hostel owner then stepped in and attempted to rescue us, bringing us back into the hostel. Our hostel owner then told us she had a gun and if Crazy Happy Ending Thai Girl came back “We shoot her, we kill her”. I wish she was joking, but I didn’t doubt her. Our hostel lady was nearly as nutty as Crazy Happy Ending Thai Girl. One night she even got the loaded gun out to be passed around by all the drunken idiots at our hostel (that’s another story). When our adrenaline finally passed we decided we should just go to bed. One Crazy Happy Ending Thai Girl incident was enough for the day.
Our next couple days on Phi Phi were fun. We spend one as typical spring breakers drinking buckets on the beach, wandering the car-less streets, eating, and taking naps. On our last day we booked a full day excursion. It started out pretty sketchy, like most things in Phi Phi. Our tiny little boat, packed with people, headed out through the rough seas and as it crashed through every wave, a shower of saltwater would rain down across the whole boat. Our first stop was to snorkel with black tip reef sharks. In the 25 minutes we had on the reef, I saw 5! Though they weren’t as impressive as the 15 foot great white I got to cage dive with, the 2.5-4 feet little sharks were still fun to see cruising the reef. That morning we made a stop on Bamboo Island and Mosquito Island and did some more snorkeling. The second half of the trip was more fun than the first. It started with Monkey beach, which was the saddest little monkey beach I have ever seen. Tourist’s outnumbered monkeys 15:1 and the monkeys looked obese from all the crap they are fed. I even saw one monkey drinking a mojito out of a bottle and one drinking a beer.
Following monkey beach we headed to some cliffs for cliff jumping. After climbing up the most unforgiving rocks with crashing waves, we reached the first jump which was a 24 foot cliff that everyone jumps off. If you do ok with the first, you are allowed to do the second, higher, jump from a tree limb 36 feet up. Not many things scare me in life, but heights to get to me. I think that is why I absolutely love them! Sky diving, cliff jumping, tall bluffs, all give me an adrenaline rush like nothing else I can imagine. Garrett and I did the 36 foot jump but it was pretty nerve racking since two boats were very close to the landing spot and they both had running propellers on 13 foot swivel arms spinning in the water.
After cliff jumping we headed to Maya Bay which is the famous beach from the movie “The Beach”. It was stunning, but incredibly touristy. We then went for one more snorkeling session while watching the sunset before our night swim with light up plankton! When the sun was completely set and the sky was dark, we all jumped in the water once more (prop still spinning on the end of the shaft pole about 10 inches above the water). The sea is full of plankton that light up like firefly’s when you move your arms and legs. It was magical. As I dove down in the water facing the darker bottom, I swung my arms left and right and it looked like I was reaching up into the night’s sky throwing the stars around. I’ll never forget how unique of an experience it was. It was a FULL day to end our time on the crazy little island of Phi Phi. Now we are off to Bangkok to meet our friends Jack, Ben, and Rob!

There is definitely no shortage of things you can do in Phuket during the day. It’s a lot of fun to rent a motorbike and cruise along the scenic coastal roads, from beach to beach, and up to the view point and Cape Promthep. And maybe even the Big Buddha that’s located on top of a hill in the center of the island. If you start your trip in the morning, you can easily drive all around the island in one full day, including Phuket Town.
But then after a few days, you will wonder: What am I going to do now, before the bars open? Sure, you can always visit more of the daytime attractions or go on a trip to some island, but there will come the time when you just want to stay in Patong (or whatever other beach town you booked your hotel in).
You probably know what I’m going to suggest you: One of the most popular day time activities in Phuket is to just take a walk around town and see if there’s anything “fun” to do. And there’s no doubt that you will sooner or later pass one of the countless of massage salons where young Thai ladies in short skirts sit (or stand) outside, and as soon as they see you excitedly yell “Hello, lovely man! Where you going? Welcome massage!”.
When you see a girl like the ones in my photos, then it’s obviously quite difficult to resist the temptation to try an oil massage for 300 Baht. Especially those people who come to Thailand for the first time usually start their “ red light trip ” in the massage salons as it’s easy to just try it and see what happens.
In this guide I will show you the main areas where you can find happy ending massages in Patong. But before that, let’s discuss one thing you might be unsure about if it’s your first time here. If not, then you can just skip this section.
It’s usually really easy to tell the difference between a “regular” massage salon with no extras and a happy ending massage salon.
