At the top of the Creepy Things About the Olsen Twins list towers the relationship between Mary-Kate Olsen and husband Olivier Sarkozy. Like, look, we have a low-key respect for Mary-Kate for keeping it weird, but we can't help but be a little skeeved out by the mismatched couple. Like, whenever we're subjected to pics of Mary-Kate and her husband (a French banker and literal father ), we're hit hard with the 17 year age gap between the couple. And to that we say: Nooooooo.
Now historically speaking, the Olsen sisters tend to go for way older guys . Lest we forget, Ashley tried to one-up MK with her 59-year-old ex-boyfriend Richard Sachs, (nice try, Ash). But even aside from the age thing, Mary-Kate and her husband just look…disturbing together. Like, we don't know what's creepier to look at: the moments where MK seems genuinely in love — because she does, her hang-outs with Olivier are the few times she smiles— or when she seems trapped in a prison of her own design?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took a dip at Hotel du Cap Eden Roc in Antibes, France, over the weekend, the usually reserved twins letting loose at the exclusive resort. Ashley soaked up the sun in a classic black strapless swimsuit, while Mary-Kate flaunted her abs in a chic two-piece. The pair was joined by Mary-Kate's husband , 47-year-old Olivier Sarkozy.
Mary-Kate showed her more adventurous side during their European getaway, jumping off of a yacht while wearing her impressive engagement ring . The 30-year-old twins were presumably in town to attend the wedding of art collector Alberto Mugrabi and fashion blogger Colby Jordan, who wed at the upscale venue in the French Riviera on Saturday. The star-studded guest list included model Karlie Kloss and actress Sienna Miller, and was DJ'd by Mark Ronson.
Mary-Kate married Olivier -- the younger brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy -- last November. Since then, the couple hasn't been shy about showing plenty of PDA. The French banker supported his wife earlier this month when she competed in the annual Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, New York, the two sharing a smooch during one of her breaks.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen will always be remembered for their iconic looks. From their coordinated outfits as little ones, to the over-layered clothes and oversized accessories now synonymous with their names, there's no doubt we've all aimed to pull off that laid-back chic that only the twins seem to pull off.
But perhaps something that's had less attention drawn to it is their changing beauty looks over the years. Before settling on the low-maintenance beauty they favour today, Mary Kate and Ashley repped some of the greatest beauty trends of the '90s and 00's including twisty buns, butterfly clips, clip-in hair colour and the inexplicable choice of leaving two stands of hair in front of their face. Each twin has dabbled in golden waves, brunette hair and bleach blonde locks, all the while going through the whole thin to thick brow evolution many of us can relate to.

Some of these throwbacks will bring you straight back to your childhood.
The classic Olsen twin pigtails that were the go-to throughout their childhood.
Twisted buns and butterfly clips. These hairstyles could not be more '90s if they tried.
A time where hair accessories were obviously at their peak.
As was pulling two strands of hair in front of your face.
'Babylights' obviously weren't a thing yet...
But coloured clip-ins definitely were.
The sunkissed-blonde locks we all yearned for as Olsen-obsessed tweens.
Both twins step away from their signature blonde hair. Mary Kate decides to mark her individuality by colouring her hair strawberry blonde, while Ashley opts for cooler blonde tones.
2004: The year that it was perfectly acceptable to wear a smoky teal eye.
Just like the teal smoky eye, we really do hope this coiffed up-do stays in the early 2000s
The Olsens were definitely early adopters of the boho style. Check out Ashley's super-cute milkmaid braids and Mark-Kate's long, mermaid-esque locks.
Trying to get in on Mary Kate's hair colour action, Ashley made a dramatic hair choice by colouring her hair a dark brown.
While Ashley returned to a clean and simple beauty look, Mary Kate kept experimenting, this time going for a slightly more grunge look complete with a messy peroxide 'do, a dark smoky eye and red lip.
But it didn't take long for both twins to return to their iconic golden blonde colour.
Both Mary Kate and Ashley channel Kate Moss with tousled hair, a wine lip and a heavy dark eye.
While their adventures in colour changes and dramatic makeup were coming to an end, Mary Kate made one last bold beauty move by rocking a bleached brow.
And with the return of Mary Kate's eyebrows came the debut of Ashley's new lob.
The Twins do matchy matchy. They obviously couldn't decide whose turn it was to do dark root, dark eye combo, so they both did.
Channeling Ashley circa 2006, Mary Kate decided it was her time to go brunette, opting for a simple auburn brown.
From 2013, we see the debut of the Olsen's super clean, super simple beauty looks.
Their new faves now being low-volume, wash and wear hair pared with barely-there makeup.
But just because they are going for a clean-cut look, does not mean they can't experiment a little with dark blonde tones.
In 2016, the twins made a final return to their respective strawberry and cool-toned blonde they rocked so well 12 years before.
Mary Kate even revisited her uber-long mermaid hair at the Met Gala in 2017.
But of course, the twins seem to have nailed their signature look some years ago and haven't steered far from it since. Mary Kate and Ashley both generally opt for the carefree mermaid hair look, dabbling in some classic liquid eyeliner and bronzer when feeling a bit fancy. It's safe to say that these ladies will always exude effortless elegance and major cool factor.
