Chris Hemsworth hat in einem neuen Interview über die Zukunft von Thor gesprochen.
Während der Großteil der Avengers, die von Anfang an Teil des Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) sind, nur jeweils drei Solo-Filme erhalten haben, durfte sich Thor sogar über vier eigene Filme freuen. Der nächste Auftritt von Chris Hemsworth als Thor nach „Thor: Love and Thunder“ soll aber der letzte werden, zumindest wenn es nach dem Schauspieler geht.
Gegenüber Vanity Fair hat Hemsworth erklärt, dass er das Gefühl hat, dass seine Reise als Thor, sich langsam dem Ende zuneigt:
„Ja, auf jeden Fall. Ich habe das Gefühl, das wir das Buch wahrscheinlich schließen müssen, wenn wir es jemals noch mal aufmachen würden. Ich denke, dass das wahrscheinlich gerechtfertigt ist. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass es wahrscheinlich das Finale sein würde , aber das basiert nicht auf irgendetwas, das man mir erzählt hat oder irgendwelchen Plänen. Es gibt die Geburt des Helden, die Heldenreise und den Tod des Helden und ich weiß nicht – bin ich an diesem Punkt? Wer weiß das schon?“
Wie es nach „Thor: Love and Thunder“ mit dem Marvel-Helden weitergehen könnt, verrät unser Video:
Trotzdem ist Chris Hemsworth offen für einen weiteren „Thor“-Film, „wenn es etwas Einzigartiges und Frisches und Unerwartetes mit den Figuren und der Welt gibt. Ich habe diese Erfahrung immer geliebt. Ich bin sehr dankbar, dass ich jedes Mal etwas anderes machen konnte.“ Gleichzeitig will er sich in Zukunft seine Rollen mit besonderer Sorgfalt auswählen:
„Ich bin an dem Punkt in meinem Leben, an dem ich mich mit verschiedenen Regisseur*innen treffe und die Leute sagen: ‚Oh ja, er ist ein verrücktes Genie. Er ist verrückt, aber er ist ein Genie und er wird großartige Filme machen.‘ Ich denke mir: ‚Ist das jemand, mit dem ich meine Zeit verbringen will?‘ Vier, fünf Monate, in denen gedreht wird und dann muss man Pressearbeit machen und möglicherweise Reshoots und so weiter.“
Wenn Hemsworth schon Zeit weit weg von seiner Familie verbringen muss, möchte er wenigstens eine positive Erfahrung haben. Lobend hebt er deshalb seine Erfahrung mit Regisseur George Miller für das „Mad Max: Fury Road“ -Prequel „Furiosa“ hervor. Den dortigen Dreh empfand er als „freundlich und kollaborativ und interessant“. Der postapokalyptische Actionfilm soll am 24. Mai 2024 in die die deutschen Kinos kommen. Wenn ihr vorher die bisherigen vier „Mad Max“-Filme nachholen wollt, dann könnt ihr das bei Amazon Prime ganz bequem tun.
