Learn why roulete players and investors use the Martingale strategy.

The Martingale system is best known in the casino environment. The system was already used in the 18th-century in various versions. The betting system is specially designed for simpler types of games, such as roulette.

Later, the strategy was also established in the field of sports betting. There are many who believe that it is the most profitable strategy and some will go so far as to say that the Martingale strategy is invincible.

A lot of people have also had success using the Martingale theories when investing in currencies and with the explosive growth of crypto currencies the Martingale strategy and modification of the theory behind is very popular right now 2022).

But how successful is the Martingale system really? This guide explains what the Martingale strategies means and how it works. Hopefully, this guide can put an end to the myth that the Martingale system is flawless.

Gamblers love to use the Martingale theory in roulette games.

WHAT IS THE MARTINGALE SYSTEM?

The Martingale system is a very simple betting strategy based on doubling a bet if you lose, so you win your money back. If you lose your first bet, you double your second bet.

If you lose your second game, you double your bet again. The doubling continues until you finally win your Martingale bet and obtain all your original lost bets and investments back. If you win, you return to the original bet.

The simplicity of the strategy has resulted in many beginners in betting making use of the Martingale system especially in roulette where it can be used on a more than one betting option.

Theoretically, the Martingale ssystem could be successful if you have unlimited amounts of money available and a casino or betting company that accepts unlimited bets. In fact, the Martingale system is an extremely high risk low reward strategy.

Theoretically, the Martingale strategy could be successful if you have unlimited amounts of money available and a casino or betting company that accepts unlimited bets.

In fact, the Martingale system is an extremely risky strategy. When there are a number of losses, which happen sooner or later, no matter how good you are, it will most likely mean that you go bankrupt. The ability to overestimate yourself and underestimate the risk of long periods of loss lies behind many beginners' overconfident belief in the Martingale system.

The upside to the system is that it is very strong when we look at shortterm statistics and the fact that you can win all your combined loses back in one or two rounds is what makes the Martingale system very interesting.

HOW DOES THE MARTINGALE SYSTEM WORK?

The Martingale system is based on the theory I mentioned earlier that you must double your original bet for each loss until you win a game so that you have won your losses back.

You start by defining a starting bet, which for example can be 1% of your betting account. If your account is €1000, you start with a bet of €1. If you win your first bet, you continue as usual with the next bet.

However, if you lose the first bet, you increase your bet to €2. The most important thing is that you play with even money back odds and have 50% or close to chance of winning back your bet.

If you lose your next bet of €2, you double the amount again and make a bet of €4 and hope for a win.

AN EXAMPLE OF THE MARTINGALE SYSTEM

The Martingale Strategies Explained

For the sake of convenience, I show here an example of how the Martingale system works, based on the premise that you place a bet of €5 on RED in ROULETTE because that is an even odds bet we can make and use the system on.

It does not matter if you play roulette or sports betting or you are investing in currencies. The most important thing is that the odds are at least even because that is what it takes to win back your previous losses.

Even odds on a bet just means that if you for example bet 5 and you win you get paid 10 back giving you a profit of 5. Never use the strtategy on longshot bets always go for bets that will hit around 50% of the time - just like if you were coinflipping with a friend.
