Markree Castle Wedding: A Unique and Fun Experience

Markree Castle is an amazing place for weddings. It's in Sligo, close to pretty beaches and the sea. I got to take photos at Orla and Scott's wedding there.

Their wedding was full of special things. This made the day really cool. I took pictures of all these moments. Their wedding at Markree Castle was special.

Why Markree Castle is Great for Weddings

Markree Castle is more than just beautiful. It's perfect for a big, fancy wedding. You can have your wedding inside or outside. The castle is all yours, no matter what kind of wedding. It has room for up to 210 people. So, it's great for both big and small weddings.

Special Places for Wedding Vows

The Chapel and Grand Hall are inside the castle for ceremonies. The Chapel has pretty stained glass and an old organ. Orla and Scott had their ceremony outside. But we also took some pictures in the Chapel. The Grand Hall is nice for smaller, cozy ceremonies.

Beautiful Outdoors

Orla and Scott's ceremony was on the castle's terrace. It's near beautiful lawns and a rose garden. The gardens and woods are romantic. It's a dream place for people who love nature.

A Photographer's Dream Place

Taking photos at Markree Castle is wonderful. The gardens, woods, and paths are so pretty. The area around is great for photos. I captured Orla and Scott's special moments there.

Old and Charming Castle

Markree Castle is from the 17th century. It's full of history. The castle has rooms for guests to stay. The staff helps make your wedding perfect.

Getting Ready for the Wedding

I started the day by taking photos of wedding things. I took pictures of the bridesmaids' shoes, cards, and the bridal gown. These are memories of the big day.

I also took photos of the bride with her bridesmaids. They were toasting before hair and makeup. Everyone was happy and excited.

The Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was on the Manor terrace. It was really beautiful. I took natural photos without getting in the way. I captured Orla walking with her dad.

I took photos of the couple as they exchanged vows and rings. I also recorded parts of their hand-binding ceremony.

They used bubbles instead of confetti. After getting married, they walked in the rose garden. Then it was time for drinks and more photos.

Photoshoot at the Wedding

During drinks, we took photos near the castle. We walked down the estate's road. The couple looked so happy and in love.

Then we took photos in the forest and with the bridal party. The couple joined their guests for drinks and talks. I took photos of their pet and group photos.

The wedding reception was set up beautifully. The lights, flowers, and tables looked amazing. Everything matched and looked great.

Wedding Reception Fun

The indoor wedding reception was in a beautiful room. The speeches were funny and sweet. A singing group from Sligo, Tone Cold Sober, sang. The couple cut their wedding cake with a sword. It was a day to remember.

I took indoor photos of the couple. The chapel photos with the windows were lovely. Then they danced their first dance.

The live band played fun music. Everyone was dancing and happy. Then we all went to

sleep.
