Marketplaces Team Lead
Digital nomads. Work from anywhereCompany: ASBC UGCIS | iSpace | Apple Premium Partner
Apple Premium Resellers Team, ASBC | iSpace invites you to participate in the competition for the vacancy Marketplaces Team Lead.
About the position: We are looking for a Marketplaces Team Lead to take full ownership of marketplace sales across the UGCIS region. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion through leading regional marketplace platforms, including Kaspi, Uzum, Umico, Wildberries, Yandex Market, Glovo, Wolt, Halyk Market, Monomarket, and others.
As the owner of the marketplace channel, you will be accountable for achieving revenue and margin targets, managing channel P&L, building strong partnerships with marketplace platforms, securing favorable commercial terms and visibility, and identifying opportunities to scale the business across new platforms and countries. We are looking for a commercially driven professional who combines strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to transform marketplaces into a high-growth sales channel for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Channel targets & P&L ownership (primary accountability)
* Own and deliver sales plans by Revenue, GM and GP across all markets.
* Manage the full channel P&L: revenue, margin, platform commissions, logistics cost, promo investment and unit economics — and defend profitability against commission, acquiring and fee pressure.
* Model and forecast channel performance; flag risks and reallocate effort to protect the plan (incl. non-linear campaign effects such as major sales events).
2. Partner & platform development
* Negotiate and continuously improve commercial terms with each marketplace.
* Secure priority and exclusive promotions, special placements and co-funded advertising campaigns.
* Act as the senior counterpart to marketplace account managers; convert platform relationships into measurable commercial advantage and early access to new opportunities.
3. Assortment & content management
* Own the assortment decision on each platform: what to list, matrix width, introduction and phase-out of SKUs.
* Set and enforce a measurable standard for card quality and completeness across all platforms (correct specs, media, localized copy, classification codes) as the baseline, non-negotiable quality bar.
* Drive discoverability and conversion through listing optimization and platform SEO.
4. Pricing & promotion
* Set competitive, margin-aware pricing across markets and platforms.
* Plan and execute promotions and deals coordinated with marketing and aligned to the channel P&L, not just to sales volume.
5. Quality control & SLA
* Own channel quality against defined SLAs: order processing, dispatch, returns, cancellations and stock accuracy.
* Coordinate with logistics/supply chain to ensure availability and prevent stockouts and overstock; treat SLA breaches as measurable, owned metrics rather than support tickets.
6. Expansion & automation
* Launch and onboard new platforms and new country pipelines.
* Build and own processes and automation (feeds, price/stock sync, content pipelines) so the channel scales efficiently.
7. Team leadership
* Lead, set goals for and develop the marketplace team (incl. content roles); define the quality standard the team works to rather than executing someone else's checklist.
8. Collaboration & reporting
* Synchronize marketplace activity with other Omni channels (marketing, retail, supply chain, product).
* Produce regular performance reporting with actionable, decision-ready insight — not just dashboards.
Requirements:
* 5+ years managing online marketplace accounts, with proven ownership of a sales/margin plan (not only operational support).
* Ability to define and enforce content quality and completeness standards across multiple platforms — this is the core of the role and the hard filter.
* Commercial / P&L literacy: comfortable with margin, commissions, promo investment and unit economics.
* Strong data analysis and reporting (Excel, analytics platforms, marketplace dashboards).
* Working knowledge of marketplace algorithms, SEO and listing optimization.
* Negotiation skills strong enough to improve commercial terms with platform partners.
* Proactive standard-setter: sets the quality bar and builds processes independently, rather than reacting to instructions.
* Ability to run multiple markets and priorities in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
Nice to have:
* Appetite for automation / vibe-coding (feeds, price-stock sync, content pipelines) — assessed by drive to learn, not existing skill.
* Multi-country / UGCIS marketplace experience.
* Higher education in Economics, BA, E-commerce, IT or related.
We offer:
* Opportunity to work in a financially strong, fast-growing multinational company.
* Interaction with global teams of professionals.
* International career opportunities.
* Access to continuous professional development trainings
* Attractive rewards
* Corporate work equipment
