I got my first Marie Massage last week. I was feeling stiff, lots of joint "creaking" going on. Marie discovered numerous muscle knots, and and hour later, I felt like a new woman. The best part is that one week later, there's very little creaking. I've also slept better, and sported a more positive outlook. Since I made no other changes, I attribute my improved well-being to my Marie Massage. Another great thing about a Marie Massage is that her 60-minute massage actually lasts 60 minutes, not 50 with 10 minutes to get the room ready for someone else. I've had other types of massage, and I can now say that the therapeutic massage that Marie offers really targets what your body needs. Her style is funny, so you will also leave in a good mood.
If you know my reviews then you know I'm not big on giving all 5 stars unless a business deserves it, and this one does! You gotta love a business owner of a small business that really gets what it takes to earn customers. I travel back and forth across the state for a living and one of the biggest pains in the neck I have is the pains in the neck I have. Neck, back, legs... they are all 100 times worse when you've been driving for 8 hours straight. Finding a great massage therapist... it took me years to stop calling them masseuses.... is almost impossible. Look at one of my other reviews and you'll see what I mean. Marie LISTENS and then does exactly what you need. I gave her my ouch areas and she pin pointed them exactly and went to work. I'm not an easy massage. I'm a bit stronger than the average bear which means a therapist really has to work to get the muscles to relax. Marie's thumbs, forearms and elbows were unimpressed with my muscle mass and turned those tightly wound guitar strings into a smooth sounding cello. I could barely walk when I stepped into her office. For all the right reasons I could barely walk when I oozed out and back into my car. This was the perfect mix of talent, humor, quiet and light banter. Marie just made it into my iphone favorites and will be my first call the next time I'm in the area. Do yourself a favor... go get a massage from someone who really knows what she's doing, and then come back here and say thank you for the recommendation. :)
Marie is very professional, reasonably priced and has a terrific sense of humor. I immediately felt at ease during my first visit a year ago. I have been getting deep tissue massages for over 30 years from Boston to Chicago and have to say Marie is the absolute BEST I have ever been to. I have chronic pain in various places and always feel 100% better after a 2 hour session. Prior to finding her I had tried other massage therapists in the Port Charlotte area and none came close to Marie. I highly recommend!
