Los Angeles, October 10, 2024 – Global music icon Mariah Carey has thrilled fans with a double announcement: a brand-new album and an accompanying world tour set for 2025. The five-time Grammy Award-winning singer revealed the news during an exclusive interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, sending her loyal 'Lambs' into a frenzy.

New Album: Ethereal

Titled Ethereal, Carey’s 16th studio album promises a return to her signature blend of soulful ballads and uptempo bops. Described as a 'sonic journey through love, resilience, and timeless melodies,' the album features collaborations with top producers, including Hit-Boy, The-Dream, and longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri.

'I wanted to create something that feels both nostalgic and fresh,' Carey shared. 'This album is a celebration of where I’ve been and where I’m going.' The lead single, Forever Yours, is set to drop on November 15, with the full album arriving in early 2025.

The Queen of Christmas Takes the Stage Again

Alongside the album news, Carey unveiled The Ethereal Experience Tour, her first global tour in nearly a decade. Kicking off in Tokyo in March 2025, the tour will span five continents, with stops in major cities including New York, London, Paris, and Sydney.

Fans can expect a dazzling spectacle, complete with Carey’s legendary five-octave vocals, extravagant costumes, and, of course, festive nods to her perennial holiday hit, All I Want for Christmas Is You—even if it’s July.

A Legacy of Record-Breaking Success

With over 200 million records sold worldwide, Carey remains one of the best-selling artists in history. She recently made headlines with her Las Vegas residency’s record-breaking ticket sales and her ongoing dominance of Billboard charts each holiday season.

Tickets for The Ethereal Experience Tour go on sale October 20 via Live Nation, with pre-sales for fan club members starting earlier. As Carey put it, 'Get ready, Lambs. It’s going to be magical.'
