Maria Bello and Clare Munn are just the cutest!
Wearing a black, draped, one shoulder jumpsuit, the 47-year-old Coyote Ugly and ER alum and her girlfriend, a media exec and human rights activist, were photographed kissing and staring at each other lovingly as they posed for photos at the 2015 Human Rights Campaign's Los Angeles Gala dinner earlier this month.
Bello, who has a 14-year-old son from a previous relationship with a man, came out publicly in a New York Times essay published in November 2013, revealing she was in a relationship with a woman named Clare and calling herself a "whatever." She and Munn have since attended several events together and have also been spotted showing sweet PDA in public.
"She's one of the most beautiful, charming, brilliant and funny people I have ever met," The Daily Mail quoted Bello as telling Closer Weekly. "We laugh a lot together."
They two also often post affectionate tweets about each other.
Last month, Bello was honored with the HRC Equality Award at the Human Rights Campaign's 2015 Austin Gala.
"In some ways I wish I wasn't standing up here," she said in her speech. "I wish that one day the labels that discriminate against people will be a thing of the past and we will not have to fight for the permission to love who we love."
She also talked about her decision to reveal her sexuality to the public.
"After being so private for most of my life, why should I share my story so publicly?" Bello said. "At the time I wrote my article, I most of all wanted my 12-year-old son to be proud of his family. I wanted him to know that our story was not something to be ashamed or so unusual that we were the only ones living this way. "Well, it turns out he was already proud and in this case, wiser than I was, when he said, 'Whatever, Mom. Love is love.'"
Bello plans to release a book, Whatever...Love Is Love: Questioning the Labels We Give Ourselves, on April 28.

Maria Bello Comes Out, Reveals Gay Romance In New York Times Essay
Actress Maria Bello came out as part of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in a New York Times piece titled “Coming Out as a Modern Family.”
In the essay published Nov. 29, the actress described how she first told her 12-year-old son, Jackson, that she was in a lesbian relationship. The talk came about a year after Bello had embarked on a romantic relationship with her best friend, Clare Munn, a new media executive, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“We had an immediate connection but didn’t think of it as romantic or sexual,” the “Prisoners” star wrote. “She was one of the most beautiful, charming, brilliant and funny people I had ever met, but it didn’t occur to me, until that soul-searching moment in my garden, that we could perhaps choose to love each other romantically.”
Bello had previously been in relationships with one woman and a handful of men, including TV executive Dan McDermott, the father of her son, Us Weekly noted. Last year, she claimed she had only ever been on one actual date.
When she decided to begin a journey with Clare, she was worried about how it would affect her work and her son. But Jackson was fine with it. “Mom, love is love, whatever you are,” he told her.
So I would like to consider myself a “whatever,” as Jackson said. Whomever I love, however I love them, whether they sleep in my bed or not, or whether I do homework with them or share a child with them, “love is love.” And I love our modern family. Maybe, in the end, a modern family is just a more honest family.
The 46-year-old posted an adorable snapshot of her adorable fam to Twitter Friday.
Bello is the latest celebrity to come out in recent weeks. Olympic Diver Tom Daley revealed he is in a relationship with a a man, but still “fancies” women, in a YouTube video posted Monday. Last month, “30 Rock” actor Maulik Pancholy came out as gay during an interview with Out magazine.

“Prison Break” star Wentworth Miller came out in August 2013 after being invited to attend the St. Petersburg International Film Festival in Russia. In the midst of massive anti-gay violence and legislation throughout the country at that time, he decided it was time to go public about his sexuality. “Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes,” the 41-year-old wrote in a letter to the festival’s director, which was posted on GLAAD’s website. “However, as a gay man, I must decline.”
