With her red hair shining in the sun, it was hard to miss actress Marcia Cross when she spent a day at the beach with her daughters.
However, instead of the usual frosty exterior of Bree Van de Kamp, relaxed Marcia suffered a wardrobe malfunction as a gust of wind sent her dress flying up to expose her derrière.
However, dressed casually in a midnight blue maxi-dress, the 50-year old didn't seem to bother fighting Mother Nature, and actually held her own hemline up to expose nude underwear.

Marcia was joined by her twin daughters, Eden and Savannah, who seem to have inherited their mother's titian colouring and willowy limbs.
Her relaxed smile and windswept hair was a million miles away from her former Desperate Housewives alter-ego, who valued neatness and order above fun and laughter.

To make the day even more special, Marcia brought along a picnic lunch for them to eat al fresco as they soaked up the sun.
On ABC show Housewives, Marcia's character was renowned for her pineapple bran muffins and gourmet meals, so she may have picked up a few culinary tips while filming.
The actress took a few snaps of her five-year-old daughters running in to the sea, perhaps to show husband Tom Mahoney, so he didn't feel like he had missed out on the fun.

The girls looked cute with matching plaited hair, although like many twins, decided to mark their individuality by wearing the opposite colour to their sibling.
Both girls were dressed for safety in the sun, with one opting for a long pink T-shirt, while the other chose a blue ensemble.
Marcia also set a good example, and wore a wide brimmed hat to protect her face and shoulders from the afternoon sun.
