Mandy Moore is an American actress, singer and songwriter. Winner of the award “Young Hollywood Awards” in 2003.
Fame came to Mandy Moore in the early 2000s, years after the release of albums So Real, I Wanna Be with You, Mandy Moore and Coverage, focused on a teenage audience. In 2002 Moore began her acting career starring in the title role in the movie “A Walk to Remember”. Later she played lead roles in several teen films. Early years
Mandy Moore was born in Orlando, Florida in the family of Stacy and Don Moore. Stacy was a former news reporter, Dong — a pilot of American Airlines. Paternal ancestors Moore was Irish and Cherokee Indian, maternal grandfather was a Russian Jew, grandmother — English. Grandmother was a professional dancer at the theatre in London’s West End during the Second World War served in the Women’s Royal Naval army. Met with her future husband during his stay in London, where he served, she secretly fled to the United States.

1999-2002: early albums
In 1999, Moore was involved in a joint tour with the Backstreet Boys group. Her first album So Real was released in December 1999 and took 31 th place in the American Billboard 200. After the release of the observers gave Moore the last place among the “pop princesses” such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Simpson. In the review magazine, Entertainment Weekly noted that Moore’s songs, revolving around the theme “still inexperienced love”, performed with “suffocating professionalism”, and ballads in the album “nauseating”. And although the songs sounded on the radio, and her album So Real went platinum in the US (early 2000) and was sold about 1 million copies, it was not as successful as the same Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Jessica Simpson.

Debut pop single “Candy”, which Yahoo! Movies described as “amazing caller” almost top 40 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, finishing in 41st place and becoming the gold. All Music Guide called the single, mediocre, and typical, containing lyrics that described love “in the language of sugary pleasure.”

In may 2000 Mandy Moore released the album I Wanna Be with You — a reworked version of the debut album. The album, whose music is created mostly with synthesizers, bass guitars and drums, contained new songs interspersed with tracks and remixes from the album So Real. Some reviewers criticized the album because it contained remixes of old songs and did not anticipate further creative development and All Music Guide has described his style as “more trashy, vulgar, tasteless, and altogether more disposable” than that of the previous. The album took 21 th place on the Billboard 200 in the USA went gold, it sold about 792 000 copies. The title track “I Wanna Be With You” was the only single in the album and took 24-th line in the Hot 100, what was the best achievement of Mandy Moore. He also became the soundtrack to the film “Center Stage” (2000).

In June 2001 released a new album Mandy Moore songs “Saturate Me” (a ballad in the style of R&B), “You Remind Me” and “In My Pocket”. In support of the album was held the concert of Mandy Moore Live@ShoutBack. The album contained songs to the rhythm of uptempo and elements of music of the East. All Music Guide called it “a juicy, multi-layered product”. The album received mixed reviews from critics, although Entertainment Weekly noted that Moore tried to create a new sound and “hoarse notes of the voices of Natalia Imbruglia’s sound like a teenage pop music, it could be much worse” Rolling Stone praised Moore more like “aspiring rocker than R&B upstart” and indicated that she got on the “high road” compared to her first two albums. The album immediately took the 35-th place in the Billboard 200, and later went gold and was sold in a number of 443 000 copies. The single “In My Pocket”, which Entertainment Weekly praised as a “throbbing Euro-disco with the influence of Indian music” Billboard’s Hot 100 chart didn’t even show up. Moore has performed live several times, including on the show Teenapalooza Fox Network in 2001. Another single, “Crush”, also failed to hit the American charts, although MTV frequently aired videos (Moore participated in the MTV show TRL). In early 2002, was released as the final single, “Cry” associated with the movie “A Walk to Remember” in which Mandy Moore made her debut in the title role.

In 2006, Moore bitterly commented on her early albums, she took it as “abhorrent” and that her first albums were quite awful. Moore said she would return the money to anyone who bought her first two albums, if I could. During a radio interview in April 2006, one of the leading, who had heard her confession, asked to return the money for the first album that Moore did.

2003 Album “Coverage”, buildable album and a new contract
In October 2003, Mandy Moore released her fourth album Coverage, which All Music Guide called “a leap in musical maturity” while Entertainment Weekly — “attempt to reset the image of the blonde with the gum.” The album featured cover versions of songs of the 1970-ies and 1980-ies that influenced the singer’s childhood. Moore noted that she didn’t want to exceed original performers, but only offered their own interpretation of their music.

Coverage rose to 14-th position in the Billboard 200 (the best achievement for Moore at the time), but only single “Have a Little Faith in Me” was not successful in the charts, though, and debuted in the top 40.

Personal life of Mandy Moore
The media widely discussed the personal lives of Moore, her relationships with tennis player Andy Roddick and actors Wilmer Valderamma and Zach Braff.

In 2008, started Dating musician Ryan Adams. They were married on March 10, 2009. In January 2015, Moore filed for divorce, calling the reason “irreconcilable differences”. The divorce was completed in January 2016.

From July 2015 Mandy Moore dating whith Taylor Goldsmith, guitarist of group Daves. In the next couple of years, Moore is planning to have a baby.

Amanda Leigh "Mandy" Moore (born April 10, 1984) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Moore first came to prominence with her 1999 debut single, "Candy", which peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100. After singing with Epic Records, she released her first album, So Real, in 1999. It went on to receive a Platinum certification from the RIAA. Her 2000 single, "I Wanna Be with You", became her first Top 30 song in the US, peaking at number 24 on the Hot 100 chart. The parent album of the same name was released that same year to generally mixed reviews. The album went on to achieve Gold certification. After revealing her displeasure with her early works, Moore's self-titled third album, Mandy Moore (2001), featured a change of sound that drifted away from her "bubblegum pop" roots. The album spawned the single "In My Pocket", which became her third Top 20 song in Australia. The album itself was her final album to be certified by the RIAA, receiving a Gold certification.
In 2003, Moore released her fourth studio album, Coverage, featuring covers of classic 1970s songs. Following the album's release, Moore parted ways with Epic due to creative differences. The split prompted the label to release the compilation albums The Best of Mandy Moore (2004) and Candy (2005), both of which have sold an estimated 100,000 copies to date. Moore did not return to music until the release of her 2007 album Wild Hope, which failed to have much success. To date, the album has sold an estimated 200,000 copies, and failed to receive an RIAA certification. Similarly, both of the album's singles failed to chart worldwide. In 2009, Moore released her sixth studio album, Amanda Leigh, which peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200 and sold an estimated 100,000 copies. In 2012, Moore confirmed that she was working on her seventh studio album. As of 2009, Moore has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, according to Billboard. In 2012, Moore was ranked #96 on VH1's list of "100 Greatest Women in Music", as well as #63 on their Sexiest Artists of All Time List.
Outside of her musical career, Moore has also branched out into acting. She made her film debut in the 2001 comedy film Dr. Dolittle 2, though it was only a minor voice role. Later that year, she appeared as Lana Thomas in the comedy film The Princess Diaries, alongside Anne Hathaway. She had her first starring role as Jamie Sullivan in the 2002 romantic drama film A Walk to Remember, which was based on Nicholas Sparks' novel. Between 2003 and 2006, Moore starred in various films, including How to Deal (2003), Chasing Liberty (2004) and Saved! (2004). She later co-starred in the 2006 satirical comedy American Dreamz, which was both a critical and financial failure. The film failed to make back its $17 million budget, and debuted at number 9 at the box office. The following year, Moore co-starred in the romantic comedies Because I Said So and License to Wed. In 2010, Moore voiced Rapunzel in the animated film Tangled, in which she performed the duet "I See the Light" with Zachary Levi; the song won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media. She later reprised the role in the short film Tangled Ever After, and will do so again in a Disney Channel television series based on the film in 2017. She has also voiced the role in several video games.
