In the annals of embarrassing things people have done to destroy their reputations on YouTube, you can officially add “twerking” to the list.
What’s twerking, you ask? According to the Wikipedia, it’s a “dance move that involves a person shaking their hips and bottom in a bouncy up and down motion, causing it to shake, ‘wobble’ and ‘jiggle’.” Which pretty much covers it.
Only thing is, YouTube has virtually exploded with twerking videos over the past several months, so how to decide which ones are worth your valuable “not working” time? Below, we list 5 of the juiciest to help you sort through the clutter.
That’s right: this is actually Part 2 of a 2-part series that sees a woman named “Caramel Kitten” – you guessed it – twerking at the local Walmart. As an added bonus, she helpfully narrates each segment by calling out the name of whatever food section (“bacon pancakes”? well, ok) she happens to be gyrating awkwardly in front of at any given moment. (For those looking to venture further into Ms. Kitten’s decadent existence, you can also check out “Twerkinby the Mailbox” and “Twerking at the Library,” the latter of which is my fantasy title for her autobiography.)
This gem is actually a cut off of Lady’s 2011 album “Bitch From Around the Way II,” the sequel, I suppose, to “Bitch From Around the Way I.” Also, who is Lady? With lyrical gems like “He like it when I make this ass vibrate” and “Bend it over/Make this thing shake,” the public deserves to know.
3) Katrina & Alexis Twerking to “B-Skully – Jigga”
Where to begin? This video is an amazing tutorial for those looking to get deep ‘n’ dirty into the twerking sub-culture, as these ladies have moves I actually didn’t realize were humanly possible until today. From the “twerk-split” to the “single-cheek-jiggle” to the “handstand twerk” (my own made-up words), Katrina and Alexis have clearly been spending all their free time learning the tricks of the twerking trade. Next up for these lovely ladies? Well…porn, probably.
God bless you, Tweet Boogie. You’re doing the Lord’s work. Honestly, if you actually want to learn how to twerk in the classic style, this is a great tutorial that will get you twerking in the milk aisle at your local big-box store in no time flat. “Hands on your knees, make ’em say please.” Exactly, Tweet Boogie. Exactly.

Another porn star who worked in the US adult entertainment industry has been found dead.
Olivia Lua, 23, died in a rehab facility in West Hollywood on Friday morning.
The actress, who used the screen name Olivia Voltaire, is believed to have died from mixing prescription drugs and alcohol .
It is not known how she got the substances into the facility where she was being treated for addiction.
Her agency, LA Direct Models, confirmed her death to XBiz , the porn industry's news outlet, on Friday.
Olivia's death is the fifth in just six months across the US and Canada. Four other women have died from suicide, accidental overdose and UTIs.

In his statement, Derek Hay of L.A. Direct Models said Lua had been battling addiction for some time and was seeking help.
He said it was a 'coincidence' that the two most recent deaths were of women who belonged to L.A. Direct Models.
'Much comment has recently been made on the number of adult stars having passed in the last year and with great sadness we must inform that the list has grown longer.
'Olivia joined LA Direct Models in April 2017, though had not been available for work since early October of last year, as she had been facing some personal challenges that had seen her in residential rehab for a period of nearly three months and from which she had been out for about a month, hoping to make a return to work in the early part of this year.
'We learned today that she had returned to a different facility in West Hollywood after a relapse, approximately a week ago, at which she was found deceased this morning.
Lua had been seeking help for substance abuse problems. Before she died, she tweeted a final selfie (left) and said: 'No one alive can be an angel forever'
Olivia's agency said they were shocked by her death. She had not worked for some time due to her addiction problems
'Family and close friends [said] they had deep concern at the volume of prescription drugs prescribed to Olivia and the danger this posed [to] her. If this was mixed with recreational drugs or alcohol, it is believed this to be the cause of her passing,' he said.
Olivia Nova, who died in Las Vegas earlier this month aged 20 from sepsis that is believed to have been caused by a UTI, also worked for LA Direct Models.
Hay said it was merely a 'coincidence' that the two most recent deaths were of women who belonged to his agency.
'We at Direct Models obviously can barely believe we are issuing a notice such as this, not once but twice, in such a short space of time.
'The coincidence that both of these models chosen stage names is Olivia is solely that and they otherwise have no connection. We actually do not think they had ever met.'

Days before her death, Lua shared cryptic social media posts including one which read 'no one alive can be an angel forever'.
It is not clear if any of the five models who have died recently knew one another.
So far, there has been no proof of a link between any of their deaths beyond the fact that they were all porn stars.
The first death was that of 35-year-old Shyla Stylez. Stylez died in her sleep at her mother's home in Calgary on November 9. So far, no reason has been given for her death.
Stylez left the porn industry in 2016 after 10 years.
In December, actress August Ames, 23, hanged herself in California, where she lived with her husband.
What prompted her suicide remains unclear but in the days beforehand, she found herself in the center of a firestorm on Twitter after publicly saying that she had refused to work with a man she knew did both straight and gay scenes.

Ames' argument was that because the male actor worked with both men and women, he was more likely to have contracted STIs and she believed it put her at risk.
Days after Ames' death, 31-year-old Yurizan Beltran died of an apparent drug overdose at home in California. It is not known if the overdose was accidental or intentional.
On January 9, 20-year-old Olivia Nova died in her bed in Las Vegas.
The young actress had been tweeting about how she was alone for the holidays and wanted to call a fan to lift her mood.
At first, it was suspected that drugs or alcohol may have played a part in her death.
However police reports which have emerged recently suggest the woman was suffering from sepsis.
She had prescription medication given for a urinary tract infection at the home when she died, according to the report.

Former adult film star Bree Olson has a message for young girls: Don’t get into porn.
Olson was one of Charlie Sheen’s live-in “goddesses” who shared his home with other women during his 2011 meltdown.
Olson estimates she was making $30,000 to $60,000 a month in the adult film industry before she gave up her career and parted ways with Sheen.
Since then, she’s been trying to transition into mainstream life, but it hasn’t been easy. Olson shared her struggles in a video for the digital interview series, “ Real Women, Real Stories .”
She said she has trouble finding work and making friends. No one wants anything to do with her after they find out about her former life. Without giving details, she said people who recognize her in public call her ugly, demeaning names.
“When I go out, I feel as if I’m wearing ‘slut’ across my forehead,” she said in the video interview, which was posted online last week and is making the rounds in feminist circles on social media.
“I have really gotten to the point where there are days to weeks at time where I don’t leave the house because I don’t feel like facing the world,” she said. “People treat me as if I am a pedophile. They don’t treat me like an ex-sex worker. They treat me like I would somehow be damaging to children.”
Olson, 29, moved recently from Los Angeles to Fort Wayne, Indiana. In an email interview with CNN she said she left the porn industry in 2011 and tried to launch several businesses that failed. She now works reluctantly as a cam model, a term for men and women who perform sex acts on live webcams for Internet customers. She has a girlfriend, and Bree Olson is not her real name.
Olson said she agreed to do the video interview — recorded last year at her home in L.A. — to offer an honest take on the porn industry and its effects on female stars of adult films.
The curator of “Real Women, Real Stories,” Matan Uziel, told CNN he launched the series to empower women by highlighting their struggles, challenging stereotypes and raising money for causes that support girls’ and women’s education.
“Today, unfortunately women are seriously under-represented across nearly all sectors of society around the globe. I believe that with that proper exposure, we can minimize the destruction and even reverse some negative trends against women,” he told CNN in an email. “In our next episodes, we want to keep spotlighting provocative stories about women that you don’t get to access through magazines and reality television.”
When Olson is asked in the video how she would like to be treated, the question appears to catch her off guard. She brings her hands to her mouth, falling silent as tears fill her eyes.
“I wish people would treat me like they would treat a married registered nurse with 2.5 kids in Indiana. That’s how I wish people would treat me,” she said, wiping away tears.
“I would be so happy,” she continues. “I never even thought of that before. But it will never happen. That’s probably why I don’t think about it.”
Olson told CNN the backlash she’s faced over her work in porn has killed her dreams of having children.
“I’ll never put a child through this,” she said. “Even with the best private education and great parenting, the parents will talk and the children will hear and my child would be ostracized.”
She also fears that her past will derail her goal of having a traditional career.
“I’d love to go back to college and work for some amazing company, be it health care, children, some other type of firm, and I’d work my way right to the top — but I am hit with harsh realities constantly,” she told CNN.
“People say, change your hair color, move to another state. Ha! People know me by voice alone. I can’t run. I can’t hide. I have to face this. Anonymity is something I’ll never know. Even with all the surgeries, relocating, years of school, all it takes is one person to blow everything,” she said.
“The only way to have power at this point is to own it. Yeah, I did porn, and thanks to this society that’s all I can say I’ve done.”
In the video, Olson says there’s nothing inherently wrong with porn or with women embracing their sexuality. Even so, she cautions young women against entering the adult film industry because of how society will treat them.
“I send a very strong message to young girls: Don’t do porn,” she said. “You’re just going to have a life of crap in front of you in dealing with people, companies,” she said, describing how employers can turn you down based on past experience or “morality clauses.”
“These are things that teenage girls don’t think (about),” she said. “There’s nothing wrong with porn, but how people treat you for the rest of your life, it’s not worth it.”
