Women aren’t the only ones to get addicted to plastic surgery and end up looking like they aren’t human. Men can fall victim to too many procedures, too. And sometimes, there are serious risks and side effects involved with leading a life that boarders on being too plastic.
Rodrigo Alves is a 32-year-old Brazilian man that is known on social media as the human Ken Doll. Thanks to at least 42 procedures, he’s been able to transform himself into a real-life walking doll. But last week, human Ken wasn’t so lucky as he suffered from a hole in his nostril that he said was eating his nose. In fact, Alves was told that if the infection wasn’t under control, it could potentially eat away at his face.
Luckily, Alves, who has not been diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, was treated with IV antibiotics, which got the infection under control. But the damage (specifically rotted tissue) caused by the necrosis is said to be permanent. Reconstructive surgery may be the only way to potentially lessen the effects of the damage.
Yesterday, he posted on his Instagram this photo with a caption reading, “#botched but soon to be fixed. For the 44 th time it isn’t the end of the world.”

Rodrigo Alves faces Seventh nose job but says he has no regrets
THE MAN who has spent £300, 000 on plastic surgery to look like a Ken doll has revealed he now needs more surgery – after his nose was attacked by a flesh-eating bug.
Rodrigo Alves, who became an Instagram sensation after having 42 procedures including muscle implants and cheek sculpting, had his nose eaten away by necrosis after his SIXTH nose job.
Speaking on a Channel 5 documentary - which sees the 32-year-old Brazilian undergoing Lipoglaze treatments - he said: “After surgery the body is vulnerable and, unfortunately, I caught a bacterial infection that ate the insides of my nose.”
Rodrigo was rushed to hospital in Malaga, in April, after catching the bug and is still suffering the effects.
He said: “I’m left with breathing problems
“I’m going to have to have it done again. I’m going to have reconstructive rhinoplasty using cartilage from my ribs.”
Despite complications, he insists he would still have more surgery.
He said: “Things have gone wrong but I don’t regret.
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and when I look in the mirror, I look beautiful.
I’m the fruit of my imagination, I am exactly what I wanted to be. I am perfection to my eyes.”
In the shocking documentary Rodrigo – who had his first nose job at 19 - lists the times he has gone under the knife.
He says his body is his pride and joy.
He said: “Male perfection is to me having symmetry. So a chiselled face, broad shoulders, a lean figure, a prominent jaw line, defined abs and a chest in proportion.
“I have had a hair implant, abrow lift, eye lifts, my ears pinned back, cheeks redesigned, my jawline shaped, I’ve had cheek implants twice, the sides if my lips cut out in order to give me a bigger wider smile. I have had fillers injected into my shoulders, biceps, triceps, my abs – my six pack is purely plastic surgery.
“I have the most beautiful six pack.”
Rodrigo admitted his looks gain him a lot of attention in the street.
He said: "People point at me and take photos. Some people want to touch me to see if I'm real.
"I get the double take like ‘Wow, he’s beautiful’, ‘Wow, he’s a freak’, ‘Wow, he’s ugly.’"
The Channel 5 show also features Janaid, who is considering having surgery after being bullied online for the shape of his nose.
But the wannabe model gets a shock when he talks to Rodrigo – and sees pictures of his nose after fillers went badly wrong.
Rodrigo told him: “The filler migrated from the bridge to the tip of my nose.”
He admitted he had two nose jobs to get rid of the filler and then picked up the infection.
He added: “I had necrosis, which is the death of the skin of my nose.”
Shocked Janaid gasped: “It’s horrifying looking at his nose. There’s no nose there.”

A Barbie-obsessed man who is constantly compared to the doll's boyfriend Ken thanks to his flawless makeup and bleach-blonde hair has admitted that he is constantly accused of having plastic surgery — but he insists his airbrushed good looks are all natural.
Maiderson Chrischon, 30, from Porto Alegre, Brazil, has been fascinated with Barbies since he was very young, and he now wears makeup and bleaches his hair to look more like a doll.
'I love Barbie for being a fashion/beauty icon as well as an inspiration for girls being independent women and dreaming about having their own careers, their own houses and cars and not depending on men,' Maiderson said.
All natural: Maiderson Chrischon, 30, has been compared to Barbie's boyfriend Ken, but insists he hasn't had any plastic surgery
Big break: When Maiderson posted this picture in 2014, people started comparing him to Ken. He has capitalized on his looks and now has a Barbie-themed YouTube channel
The social media star was brought up by his widowed mother after his father died when he was just one-and-a-half years old.
In 2014, he posted a picture of him holding up a Barbie-themed phone case to his face and was flooded with comments comparing him to Barbie's boyfriend Ken.
Since then, he has embraced the comparison by applying his makeup and posting pictures of himself on Instagram for his 35.5K followers.
'I love Ken for being stylish and almost feminine; as a gay man I relate to his sense of style and looks,' he said. 'I really like the fact that Barbie was always the protagonist of her own story and Ken is almost like another accessory to her.
'I like that he's super fashionable and vain and sometimes looks more like Barbie's gay friend than her boyfriend.'
More than a hobby: Maiderson, pictured with his Barbie dolls, applies makeup and bleaches his hair to look more like a doll. His photos on Instagram have acquired him 35.5K followers
New look: Maiderson as a teenager before his transformation, left, and now embracing his Ken look, right
Reasoning: Maiderson said he dyes his hair blonde and wears makeup because he likes the look and wants to 'bring to life this fantasy of a boy who looks like a doll'
'I never really intended to have a Ken doll look,' he added. 'I was always attracted to beauty and makeup, so people automatically started comparisons with Ken, and it all happened naturally.
'Being a Barbie fan, as people would call me Ken/Barbie Boy, I started enjoying it and having fun with it, so now I like to bring to life this fantasy of a boy who looks like a doll.'
Maiderson's striking look has positively impacted his professional career as he has become a well-known YouTuber and digital influencer.
'Because of my Barbie-oriented YouTube channel, I made a name for myself locally,' he said. so people in my city know me because I've been on TV, and I started working as a digital influencer.'
However, he said he dyes his hair blonde and wears makeup because that's how he likes to look, not because he wants to look more like Ken or Barbie.
Life in plastic: Brazilian makeup brands send Maiderson new products weekly, and he has a stylist that does his hair in exchange for publicity
Heroes: Maiderson, right, said he loves Ken, left, for being 'stylish and almost feminine', and idolizes Barbie for being a fashion and beauty icon
Success: Maiderson's Barbie-inspired YouTube channel has made him famous locally, and he said people in his city know him for his TV work and as a digital influencer
'I find it really funny when people post comments like, do"So many plastic surgeries, ew," when I've actually never had any,' he said.
'I'd like it to be clear that I never really went through a transformation. I always looked like this and I'm all natural.'
Maiderson said he can have his makeup done in 15 minutes, but even when he isn't wearing any cosmetics, people still think he looks like Ken.
'I don't really spend money on my hair and makeup because working as an influencer I get it for free,' he said. 'Brazilian makeup brands send me new products every week, and I have a great hairstylist that does my hair in exchange for publicity.
'I'm often called Ken or Barbie when I'm walking down the street; people either simply yell, "Hi, Ken," or come to me and say, "Did anyone ever tell you that you look like Barbie's boyfriend?"
Looking back: Maiderson, pictured as a baby, became obsessed with Barbie dolls when he was very young
Heartbreaking loss: Maiderson was raised by his mother after his father died when he was one-and-a-half years old
Fame game: Maiderson said he has found it difficult to date because of his looks because some men see him as 'too feminine' or 'artificial'
Fresh faced: Maiderson said even when he is not wearing any makeup, people think that he looks like Ken
'I'm always nice; I take it as a compliment,' he said. 'So I always say thank you and sometimes act like I've never heard it before. I think it is kind of funny that I'm such a huge Barbie fan and happen to look like a doll myself.'
While his professional career has soared because of his Ken doll look, Maiderson has found it difficult to date and meet someone genuine.
Some men find his look 'too feminine' or 'too artificial' while others are too 'intimidated' to date him because of his fame.
'I'm single,' he said. 'Dating is kind of complicated for me since I'm locally known for my work on social media, so it's tricky to filter the people who approach me. Sometimes they don't have the best intentions.
'Being a man who wears makeup, I'm aware that not everybody is attracted to it,' he added. 'Some gay men see me as too feminine or too artificial and it can be repelling for them.
Loving it: Maiderson said he still takes it as a compliment when strangers compare him to Ken, and he sometimes acts like he's never heard it before
Just a coincidence: Maiderson, pictured before his transformation, insisted that he doesn't dye his hair or wear makeup to look more like Ken
Owning it: 'You shouldn't change who you are to please other people,' Maiderson said of people who don't accept his looks
'But I guess the same thing happens to girls. Some guys like girls who are more natural and wear less makeup, but if you like to wear it, you shouldn't change who you are to please other people. They should love you for who you are.'
Maiderson said his 'fame' can be a 'bit complicated' because some people have a preconception of who they think he is, while others 'feel a little bit intimidated' to approach him.
'Others will approach me, not because they're interested in knowing me as a person, but just because it can be seen as a cool thing to know me or to date me, so I have to be aware of it all,' he said.
Maiderson's busy schedule leaves him little time to spend with his friends, but he makes an effort to meet up with them whenever he has free time.
'I actually don't have much spare time since I'm a content creator for many platforms,' he said. 'So when I can, I try to meet my friends for food and drinks so we can catch up and stay in touch.'

HUMAN Ken doll Rodrigo Alves faces death if he has any more cosmetic surgery. Now he has revealed why he has changed his appearance so much.
HUMAN Ken doll, Rodrigo Alves, the man who has spent nearly $550,000 on plastic surgery, has finally revealed the inspiration for his unique look — Australia’s ‘Bad Boy of Fashion’ Jordan Barrett.
Branding the male catwalk star ‘perfection’, the Brazilian native said: “I met him once in France and I really loved the shape of his jawline, the shape of his chin.
“I loved his eyes I think he is perfect. So, I asked the doctor to try and replicate it.”
Alves, 34, took a picture of the blonde Australian to his consultation and used it as inspiration for his eye lift.
“I don’t think I look exactly like him, but if I lose weight my face will look more similar to his,” he said.
“That is the look which I think is perfection. More like a young boy.
“I am like the exaggerated form and he is the natural form.”
Male model Barrett, 20, from Sydney, counts Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner among his friends.
He was selected as Models.com “Model of the Year” in 2016 and branded “Model It Boy of the new Era” by Vogue.
A GQ “Man of Style”, Jordan has been branded the “Bad Boy Of Fashion” because of his party lifestyle.
He was spotted at a Halloween bash this year with fellow Australian, trans woman model Andreja Pejic, and Courtney Love.
Barrett’s love life has also been colourful — the catwalk star is rumoured to have had flings with Bella Hadid, Paris Hilton, and Lara Stone.
The blue-eyed blonde was scouted when he was just 14, and has so far featured in campaigns for Tom Ford, Balmain, Versace, Moschino and Coach.
And Barrett has been a cover star for Vogue Netherlands , Man magazine, London’s The Times and CR Book by Carine Roitfeld.
A yoga enthusiast, he has posted videos and Instagram shots of his workouts, and has also starred in his own book collaboration with Collier Schorr called I BLAME JORDAN .
Alves, meanwhile, has achieved world wide fame thanks to his own unique look which has resulted in him being dubbed the ‘human Ken doll’.
He has had 59 body modification procedures to alter his appearance, and over 100 aesthetic enhancements. Alves will be embarking on his 60th operation in the New Year — to remove two of his ribs.
He has already been told he can’t have any more liposuction after going through fat removal over 20 times, and has vowed to go ahead with his next surgery despite warnings his obsession could kill him.
Alves, 35, revealed: ‘I will keep going. There is no such thing as plastic surgery killing you.
“People compare me to Joan Rivers. She carried on until she died having a facelift.
“But she didn’t die because of the operation, she had a health problem.”
Revealing he was bullied mercilessly as a young boy, “so badly it almost killed him”, he said he continued changing his look because he wanted to be unique.
“Having surgery doesn’t make me happy, but the outcome does. I do this f
