Man Who Underwent 4 Surgeries to Look Like Ken Doll is Releasing Doll of His Own
Celso Santebañes, a 20-year-old Brazilian model, has spent more than $50,000 in cosmetic procedures to turn himself into a real-life version of Barbie's boyfriend, Ken. Santebañes has had four surgeries on his jaw, chin, and nose, plus silicone implants in his chest.
He joins the club of other self-created real-life Ken dolls, including Rodrigo Alves and Justin Jedlica.
Now, coming full circle, Santebañes is releasing his own line of dolls in his likeness.
Santebañes posted a pic on Instagram of himself and his doll doppelganger, adding the caption: "I never expected to have a toy myself … I went to the city to become a model … I dreamt of being a human puppet, but having one in my image was completely unexpected."
The Celso doll is set to be released in Los Angeles in September.
Santebañes said his family told him he had a significant resemblance to Ken, and that
inspired him to take on his transformation. He gained recognition when he went on a Brazilian talk show in Sao Paolo. He charges up to $16,000 for VIP appearances and is now talking to producers about a possible reality show.
"This is all so magical. My life has changed … I feel like the whole of Brazil is supporting me," he says.
Although Santebañes says he faces a lot of prejudice for the way he looks, he admits that he plans to have more surgeries.
"People are sometimes frightened by the way I look, and stop me to say how much I look like a doll," he says. "I do suffer a lot of prejudice. But the world is full of judgmental people, I don't care."

A MAN who spent £92,000 on cosmetic surgery to look like a Ken doll is looking for love again after breaking up with his Barbie doll – because she dyed her hair brown.
Quentin Dehar, 24, thought he had found ‘The One’ after meeting similarly obsessed Anastasia Reskoss who had splurged £129,700 to look like Barbie.
Together, the couple embarked on multiple cosmetic procedures and bought matching Ken and Barbie cars to look like their plastic idols.
But after Anastasia dyed her hair from blonde to dark brown Quentin was forced to end the relationship.
He said: "I separated from Anastasia because I fell out of love with her."
He realised they were growing apart for a while but the final straw was when she dyed her hair from blonde to a very dark brown.
He said: “Ken does not like brunette girls. I wanted to spend the rest of our lives together morphing into the Ken and Barbie dolls we love but Anastasia was no longer committed to that dream.

After Quentin was involved in a car accident last year, it came to the attention of his doctors that his multiple rhinoplasty procedures had left him with respiratory problems as his nose is now too small to breathe through.
Quentin, who has become a TV personality in France and works as a presenter on network W9, said: “I think my nose is the perfect – it’s 100 per cent Ken.
“Having the complete Ken aesthetic is priceless for me and I’ve always believed it’s necessary to suffer to be beautiful.
“But my nose has become too tiny after all my nose jobs and I do have quite serious respiratory problems now.
"My doctors were very concerned and they have advised that I redo my nose so I don’t suffer more in the future.
“But that won’t stop me from having other surgeries – I love being Ken.”
Quentin and Anastasia fell in love at first sight when they met in 2013.
Sharing an obsession for the Ken and Barbie dolls from an early age, the pair had multiple cosmetic procedures to emulate their idols.
Most of the pricey treatments and operations were funded by their parents.
The procedures have to date included two boob jobs, four nose jobs, lip injections, butt implants, cheek fillers, ear reshaping surgery, Botox, eye bag removal surgery, fake tanning, teeth whitening, nail extensions and veneers.
The pair aren't the only ones to want to look like the plastic dolls.
And a beauty therapist spent £100,000 to look like the kids’ doll – and plans more ops despite a ban on surgery from her horrified man.
