A man with two penises has been speaking to Newsbeat about living with the condition.
Known only as Triple D, the 25-year-old from the east coast of America claims to have had 1,000 sexual partners.
He suffers from diphallia which is a rare condition where a male is born with two penises.
According to a report by the BMJ - the global healthcare knowledge provider - one-in-five million males in the world are born this way.
"My life would never ever be the same again if I allowed my identity to be revealed," he tells Newsbeat. We agreed to keep his identity anonymous.
He says he doesn't want to become "a butt of a joke" and a "novelty".
"If I wasn't going to have sex with you then you wouldn't know I had two [penises]. It's rare that anyone does know."
Growing up Triple D says he was told he was "special and unique" by his parents.
He remembers them sitting him down and making it clear: "Don't play doctor with anyone else, don't take your pants off in front of other people."
He says he managed to keep his condition hidden from friends but when schoolmates found out in high school he went through a hard time.
"Initially I didn't want people in school to know because I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings," he explains.
"I didn't want others guys to be jealous or feel bad that they didn't have two. It was never put into my head they might hate me because I had two or they might think I was weird.
"It didn't get out until a girl I'd been seeing had been interested in going all the way. I hadn't thought about it and I was trying to avoid it. It wasn't until then that I thought she might not be able to handle this - it might freak her."
Aged 16, he says he considered having one of his penises removed.
"Girls were starting to stare at my crotch a lot more - I denied it.
"I wish my parents would have made it clear to me that people make fun of things that they don't understand.
"I've always had these, this is my life. When I look down, what I see looks normal to me."
Questioned about why he's willing to talk about his two penises but not willing to reveal his identity he says: "Everywhere I would go, people would know who I was. They would have expectations."
Triple D has self-published a book called Double Header: My Life With Two Penises in which he gives a full account of coping with diphallia.
He claims to have had more than 1,000 sexual partners.
"I wanted to do whatever I wanted to do with whoever I wanted to do it with - whoever would do it with me.
"It was owning it, it was being me and accepting it and putting them to use. There were situations where people would freak out."
Triple D describes himself as "very much bisexual" and has been in polyamorous relationships - sexual or romantic relationships that are not exclusive to one person.
He says his longest relationship was with a couple.
Everyday things like buying underwear are an issue - so he tells Newsbeat he doesn't wear any.
Both penises are fully functioning. "I can urinate and ejaculate through both at the same time," he explains.
"Entering into the porn industry has crossed my mind. I knew people who worked in the sex industry and some of them knew what I had, some had heard what I had.
"Nobody had seen it. I remember thinking about it but I don't want to become a novelty. My dignity is priceless."
Newsbeat has seen photographs which support Triple D's claims but cannot independently verify his identity.

An Uzbekistani boy was born with two penises in what doctors believe is a one-in-6milllion birth defect.
The unidentified boy, from the country's capital, Tashkent, lived with the condition for seven years without physical discomfort.
Medics say he was able to pass urine out of both 'fully functional' and 'structurally normal' penises, which were conjoined at the shaft.
The boy was referred to specialist clinic, where he underwent a delicate procedure to remove his left phallus.
Despite his condition posing a 'great surgical challenge', he made a full recovery within weeks.
Surgeons who revealed the tale in the journal Urology Case Reports said the defect has only ever been spotted 100 times in history — with the first known case in 1609.
Known medically as diphallia, experts estimate the condition affects about one out of every five to six million baby boys.

Diphallia is an extraordinarily rare defect where a boy is born with two penises, with the first recorded case dating back to the 1600s.
Triphallia — which hadn't ever been recorded in medical literature until now — is the term for having three penises.
The condition is associated with other abnormalities, including being born with two scrotums or anuses.
An estimated one in every six million boys is born with the condition, according to researchers.
There is also a higher risk of spina bifida, a developmental congenital condition which causes some vertebrate protecting the spinal cord not fully form and remain open.
In most cases the penises are the same size and sit side by side.
In some men, the smaller penis will sit above the larger.
A man with two penises can urinate or ejaculate from one or both, according to reports.
Doctors at the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute said double penises are a 'rare anomaly' and normally occur in patients born with other genital or urinary problems.
Pre-surgery scans revealed the Uzbekistani boy's bladder and kidneys were 'normal', apart from two functioning urethras running from his bladder to each penis.
They learned that the child was born with no anus — which has been seen in other babies with double penises.
Surgeons made him an anus shortly after he was born, but it's not clear why they did not operate on his duplicated penis.
It is unclear exactly how diphallia occurs and there is no known single risk factor, but it's thought to happen by chance when genitalia develops in the womb.
Patients either have complete diphallia, when both penises are well developed, or partial diphallia, when one penis is smaller or deformed.
In this case, the boy had complete diphallia and both penises were fully functional and developing normally.
The doctors said this made the surgery more challenging.
During the operation, the left penis and urethra were removed and the child's urine stream had to be redirected into his right side only.
A catheter was fitted for 21 days as the boy recovered in hospital.
The case comes after MailOnline revealed a boy was born in Iraq with three penises, in a defect known as triphalia.
Doctors in the north of the country, near Mosul, believed they were the first to ever publish a study detailing a case of human triphalia.
Only one was functional so the other two — attached to the shaft of his actual penis and bottom of his scrotum — were surgically removed.

Diphallia is a rare developmental abnormality that causes a male to be born with two penises. It affects one in 5.5 million men in the United States, and those born with it usually experience other kinds of anomalies or spina bifida. Infants born with it have a higher death rate due to the complications it brings — but in one rare case, a man was born with diphallia and had hardly any other complications. He goes by the name of Diphallic Dude and opened up on Reddit for an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.
In his AMA session, Diphallic Dude described what life is like with two functioning penises. He explained that they're both the same size and sit next to each other side-by-side. As far as functionality goes, he wrote that he urinates out of both penises. (And if you have to see for yourself, click here .)
"...Because I have one muscle that controls my piss, it lets the stream flow out both my d---s," he wrote , adding that he tends to avoid public restrooms — and if he does use one, he goes for the stall rather than urinal.
"I've gotten stares and even had a few guys at various times go, 'Holy s--t,'" he said.
And while many guys may say they need a lot of special solo sessions, Diphallic Dude says he medically has to masturbate daily or every other day. When asked if any complications ever arose from his condition, he wrote "my prostate gets inflamed if I don't ejaculate enough. I'm probably the only guy with a legit reason to orgasm at least once every day or two days. My prostate gets stimulation from both [penises] and creates a lot of seminal fluid, so when I [orgasm] it has to be squeezed every few days to get all the excess out. Otherwise, it feels bloated and painful."
While we're on the topic of sex, Diphallic Dude says his right penis is more "sensitive" and easier to work with in the bedroom. "The left one just takes more effort to get the orgasm," he wrote . "The right one seems to be a little more sensitive."
He also writes that he was bullied in high school for having two penises. While at first he was seen as cool, it quickly "became a joke and guys immediately thought i was gay, because ... you know I guess I CHOSE to have two c---ks..."
Diphallic Dude, who says he is bisexual and in a committed relationship with a man and a woman, says that the reaction his penises get can vary from person to person.
"I've been in a serious relationship with a girl and a guy for a while now. I call it monogamous because we are exclusive," he wrote. "She enjoys it. The three girls before her enjoyed it. It's sort of, made a few run screaming in the past. Usually the ones I get to know well before we date are cool with it. I dont talk about it otherwise, like if im not going to have sex with you, you wont know i've got two d--ks."
