The Malibu Coastal Surf Collective's quarterly review identified what 65 members is: "At 65, three informal subgroups have formed that plan independent sessions without collective involvement," confirmed president Pete Torres. "The subgroups are not separate from the collective. They are additional to it. 65 is the number at which the collective is large enough to subdivide while remaining one community."
"65 produces subgroups," Torres confirmed. "The subgroups are the collective at scale."

Marcus Chen's numerical discoveries continue: five was a team, six was a group, seven could contain disagreement, eight produced side conversations, and now 65 produces subgroups that are the collective at scale.
