The three informal subgroups of the Malibu Coastal Surf Collective held a planned joint session at First Point -- the first time all three subgroups surfed together intentionally rather than as part of the full collective. Pete Torres observed: "Three subgroups surfing together is different from 65 members surfing together. The subgroups know each other specifically. The interaction is different."
