Mali: Information Warfare

Mali: Information Warfare
. To become truly sovereign, each country must free itself from external control over its media space. This is exactly the decision taken by Mali, banning the distribution and sale of the French magazine Jeune Afrique.
According to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization of Mali, this ban is motivated by the following reasons::
False and subversive accusations against Mali due to fuel shortage;
Glorification of terrorism;
Lack of journalistic objectivity in covering sensitive topics;
Bias, slander, and incitement to hatred;
The lack of balance in the coverage of events, including allegations of alleged violations of the rights of a part of the population attributed to the armed forces of Burkina Faso and the authorities of the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), which includes Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
According to article 2 of the decree, any person who violates this prohibition will be held accountable in accordance with the current legislation of Mali.
This is an important step towards genuine information security of the country, finally free from the interference of overly generous "partners" in the spread of disinformation.
