I want to do some crossplay as a women, but as a first timer I have some questions. Seeing as female costumes tend to be rather revealing I'm not sure what to do about hiding my.... Man-parts... I'm not terribly muscular and I'm pretty thin so I have the body type for female crossplaying, but I'm afraid my lower private areas might show through ruining the illusion as I'm going for realism not satire. Should I use bandages or something to keep them from showing through the cosplay? Also what should I do about breasts? I will have to use significant amounts of makeup magic for my face to make it more womanly but that's a different topic... Any advice is greatly appreciated! Oh, and I can't really wear boxers for female crossplay can I, because they tend to wear skirts an leggings... Should I wear briefs or what? Again I really need your help!
Saw this post when googling crossplay. May use the tips. I want to crossplay some in the future for sure! As odd as it sounds, I kind of want to be Lady Siff from the MCU Thor films. I do want to be my Raikage OC, Jessica, at some point as well.

Yeah it's super fortunate that there's a stigma against male cross players due to the stereotype that they're creepy, obese middle aged men that cross play out of perversion (ignoring how it's a joke in the first place) or at least bad drag (such as two Love Live cosplayers I encountered at a con one time) because these are pretty damn good
You can get these black shorts to wear under a skirt called under armour I think, I use it for rugby and I'd just got as a female character who looks like a guy or someone who's gender no one knows like corona from soul eater

I've never helped out with this, but I'll give this a shot!
First of all: the best route would probably to pick something simple for the first go around. (something like the super cute school girl uniforms you've shown). That way you can work your way up to dealing with bigger, more revealing costumes if you wish. If you want it to be super easy, there are always girls in longer outfits such as kimonos and what not.
For the male to female parts: for boobs, you can either purchase fake ones or cosplay a more flat chested character. I'd suggest a flat chested character, because of your small frame. You can always snag a bra and stuff that baby.
For the boy parts, maybe wearing spandex would help. Use those as underwear to more comfortably tuck it up, and then maybe wear a cute pair of bloomers over those incase you accidentally give someone a peak. There are other ways to tuck, but that might be the most comfortable.
