Position Summary:

The Makerspace Assistant will support the day-to-day operations, programs, and events at the Makerspace Qarshi. The position is ideal for a motivated and creative individual interested in technology, innovation, and community learning. The Assistant will help manage equipment, assist visitors during workshops, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all Makerspace users.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and setting up materials and equipment for workshops, classes, and events.

• Support participants during sessions helping them with tools, software, and materials.

• Independently develop and lead dynamic programs to enhance user engagement and expand Makerspace offerings.

• Help document activities through photos, attendance records, and social media updates.

• Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the Makerspace.

• Help monitor and maintain supplies and equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, soldering stations, and electronics kits.

• Report any technical issues or maintenance needs to the Coordinator.

• Greet visitors and provide basic information about Makerspace programs and membership.

• Assist in promoting upcoming events and workshops through social media and community outreach.

• Support the Coordinator in organizing public programs and collaborative activities.

• Assist in tracking attendance, inventory, and usage logs.

• Help with purchasing supplies and maintaining basic administrative records.

• Help devise surveys to assess program impacts and potential programming ideas for participants.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed secondary (high school) education.

• Strong interest in technology, innovation, and creative learning.

• Basic knowledge (or strong willingness to learn) about 3D printing, robotics, coding, or electronics.

• Good communication skills in Uzbek and English (Russian desirable).

• Responsible, organized, and eager to learn.
