Alex Gonzaga poked fun at Maja Salvador’s recent singlehood during Alex's concert last Saturday, April 25.
Maja and Alex performed together in a dance showdown featuring Beyonce hits.
During their spiel after the performance, Alex said that she forgot to add a song that suited Maja’s current state.
“Hindi ko naman alam na napapanahon ‘to. Hindi ko naisama ‘tong kantang 'to. Kuya, pa-play nga.”
The band then played “Single Ladies” in the background.
Maja immediately reacted: “Kasi naman, hindi mo nabalitaan agad! Hindi kasi na-announce agad!”
The actress, of course, was referring to her recent breakup with actor Gerald Anderson.
Alex then asked how Maja is. The latter answered, “Maganda.”
Alex affirmed her Pangarap Na Bituin co-star's statement by saying, “Totoo, maganda siya ngayon.”
When they talked about the showdown that happened during their number, Alex jokingly scolded Maja about what she told her before the performance.
“Maja, 'di ba, sabi ko sa’yo, ‘O, Maja, sa showdown natin, concert ko ‘to, alam mo na, dahan-dahan.’”
“Oo, nagkamali nga ako, e, nahulog ako,” said Maja, referring to her dance move in a chair where she almost fell.
She added, "Pero hindi halata, siyempre in-emote ko."
Alex then blurted out, “Talaga? Parang ngayon, hindi halatang nasasaktan ka, ini-emote mo.”
The younger sister of Toni Gonzaga is, of course, referring to Maja's breakup.
Alex then praised Maja, “Ang ganda-ganda ni Maja. You’ve never been this happier, this beautiful, and single. I’m so happy may kasama na ‘ko.”
Maja answered, “Alam mo, tinanggap ko agad maging single, kasi sabi ko, ‘Kailangan nang kasama ni Cathy [Alex’s real name].’”
This is the first time Maja commented about her recent breakup with Gerald.
It can be recalled that Gerald first admitted this during the press conference of Nathaniel last April 14.

A quick recap: On Sunday night, July 21, Bea shared a series of cryptic Instagram posts that people speculated were about her boyfriend of almost three years, Gerald.

She also shared two quotes on Instagram Stories, saying, "God never wastes a hurt" and "people do it once, they do it again."
The sitch became more complicated when the internet noticed that Bea "liked" several fan account posts of Gerald and Julia allegedly getting "flirty" at Rayver Cruz 's party that weekend.

Anyway, the local showbiz media has been keeping tabs on the issue and got to interview one of Gerald's former girlfriends, Maja Salvador . ICYDK, the two were in a relationship from 2013 to 2015, which resulted in a rumored rift between Maja and her bestie Kim Chiu , who dated Gerald for four years (2006 to 2010).
In a report by ABS-CBN , Maja was interviewed by the press for her upcoming soap, The Killer Bride , and was asked about her thoughts on the whole issue.
" Ayoko nang sumali. Masaya ako. Ayoko sumali , ayokong sumagot. Sa akin , kung puwede lang , wala na ako diyan ," the Kapamilya actress said.
Maja, who's currently in a relationship with Rambo Nunez , also added, " Hayaan natin silang lahat mag -heal, dahil hindi madali ang may mga pinagdadaanan . So huwag na tayong sumabay , huwag na nating gatungan , kasi at the end of the day, lahat tayo tao , nasasaktan , at marami tayong mga bagay na mas kailangan pang asikasuhin na mas importante. "
