INTERNATIONAL HALIMA NOSIROVA COMPETITION FOR YOUNG OPERA SINGERS

The International Halima Nosirova Competition for Young Opera Singers is held in Uzbekistan once every two years. The competition was established by Resolution No. 569 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 5, 2022.

The main venue of the competition is the State Academic Grand Theatre of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi in Tashkent.

Main Participation Requirements

The competition is open to opera soloists from Uzbekistan and other countries, as well as prize-winners of international competitions.

The age limit for participants is determined by the Organizing Committee. For the 2026 competition, participants must be between 18 and 35 years of age.

The competition consists of 2 rounds. There is no limit on the number of participants in the preliminary round, while 12 participants advance to the final round.

To participate in the competition, applicants must submit the following documents to the Organizing Committee within the established deadline:

•            application form;

•            résumé/CV;

•            artistic biography;

•            complete performance programme for each stage of the competition;

•            other materials required under the competition regulations.

Works included in the official competition programme may not be replaced. The competition programme also includes works by Uzbek composers.
