You'll get to see my YouTube film analysis videos about a day before I release them publicly. You'll also earn the infinite satisfaction of knowing you support hard working creative types with liberal arts degrees! And we will think "thank you" really hard in our minds, so hopefully you feel it telepathically.
In addition to early access to my YouTube, I'll list you in the credits section of my YouTube videos. Plus, you'll get early access to archived Twitch streams (about two days before everyone else).
I'll list you under a "Special Thanks" section in my YouTube videos, with a slightly BIGGER FONT than the regular credits! Plus a thank you on the end card for our Twitch streams.
Hey There!
I'm Maggie Mae Fish. I make YouTube film analysis videos, and I play video games and tabletop games with friends on Twitch! I write comedy videos and essays! I used to be on Cracked! I act and do other comedy stuff! Catch me on my YouTube channel, streaming on my own Twitch channel, or doin' stuff with my friends like Small Beans or Gamefully Unemployed!

With your support, I can make more, better stuff on here. And if you can't support, be sure to follow me on here for updates :) I'd love to do more, like sketch comedy videos, podcasts, movie nights, and all kinds of weird stuff! Help me make it happen through the power of capitalism!

We'll do a TWELVE HOUR STREAM MARATHON, quarterly. If we hit this goal at any point during the quarter (and the donations clear) we'll do it for that quarter, even if the pledges dip below that level later in the quarter.

Please enjoy this picture of my cat Murphy, invading our makeshift sound booth.
Just wanted to give you an update since it's the end of the month. We're currently editing the next video, which is a Films in Conversation on Rambo: First Blood, and David Lynch's The Straight Story. These two movies feel totally different at first glance, but actually cover a lot of the same themes. I interviewed my friend and veteran Cristian Ramirez for it, to talk about veteran issues, and the depictions of vets in movies. The video should be up publicly on March 9th, and I'll get the patron early-access version to you some time this week.
I'm planning on doing a livestream to share my reactions to the new Justice League movie after it drops on HBO Max. The movie comes out on March 18, 2021 which is a Thursday, so maybe I'll do the stream that Sunday evening? So people have time to watch it first? I'm sure it will be... Justice League-tastic.
I also wanted to mention some upcoming podcasts I was a guest on! I recently recorded an episode of Beyond the Screenplay (with the Lessons From the Screenplay folks) where we talked about The Lighthouse! I also recently recorded with the Musicals With Cheese podcast about The Wizard of Oz! Both of those episodes should be out soon, at https://anchor.fm/beyondthescreenplay and https://broadwaypodcastnetwork.com/podcast/musicals-with-cheese/ respectively, or wherever you get your podcasts. Plus there's my podcast with Adam Ganser, I'll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours. Our latest episode is on "the album that changed you," where I talk about Dashboard Confessional ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ4BXdz2h-c ). Adam and I are also working on a podcast on David Lynch, where we'll devote an episode to each of his movies. I'm really excited about that one!
I still have plans to do that video on Tommy and The Wall, but the person I'm collaborating with on that video needed to take a hiatus, so it'll just be a little while. In the meantime, I have plans for a bunch more videos too, including one on Rob Schneider's terrible Netflix series Real Rob, a video on how conservative personalities are actually just really bad actors, and a bigger video (an hour-ish?) on the subject of creativity and the creative process that I'm really excited about.
As always, thank you so much for your support!

I'm doing a Livestream Q&A this Saturday to celebrate 100k subscribers. Submit your questions or comments here!
EDIT: Updated with a link to the video's premiere page.
I made a new comedy show with Jamie Loftus called SSCC, and I wanted to give you lovely patrons a preview before we release it publicly next week! It's a post-apocalyptic movie review show, where society has been reduced to a bunch of abandoned Sandals resorts. Jamie and I have been lobotomized, so we try to piece together what the before times was like... by watching movies! All with the help of Computer, played by the wonderful Danielle Radford. With a special guest appearance by Lindsay Ellis.
If you enjoy the show, please feel free to subscribe (it's a new channel) so you see the final version of the episode when we release it, probably Wednesday.
This show isn't officially part of my Patreon--since it's a joint venture between me and Jamie--but I'll still post early previews of the episodes here, and maybe I'll have some behind the scenes stuff for you, as well! We are looking into using a new, co-op crowd sharing platform called Comradery.co to fund the show, and I'll have more details on that in the future.
Episode 1 was a huge undertaking (shooting a tv show in a pandemic is pretty wild, y'all), and it took us six months from shooting, to finally having this episode ready. But we are going to try to shoot more episodes in mid-Feb, and hopefully start pumping them out much faster. Upcoming episodes will include reviews of Jurassic Park, and Terminator 2 (tentatively).
I'm excited to hear what you think!

EDIT: We were going to release Wednesday, but that's Inauguration Day, and might be a mess. So we will release the public version on Thursday 1/21!
Hey all! This video is kind of a different format, because I based it on an interview/conversation I had with two friends of mine: Molly Knox Ostertag and Lindz Amer. We chatted for an hour, then I wrote some additional stuff to introduce topics and organize our discussion. Not sure if I'll do videos like this often, but it was a fun change of pace. I'm curious to hear your thoughts, on the format and on the content of the video!
This video is like 99% done. I don't think any of the content will change, but we plan on doing a final sound pass, and maybe some other little cosmetic tweaks.
I do suggest watching The Old Guard (it's on Netflix) before watching this video. There aren't really any spoilers, but we talk about the themes of the movie, which I guess you could consider spoiler-ish.
The final video should be out this Thursday. Enjoy!

In the Patron version of my Vlogmas/Princess Switch video, I mentioned doing a livestream when I hit 100k subscribers, and while I said I would stream me watching the Star Wars movies, I realized that wouldn't be a very engaging stream. You wouldn't be able to see the movies, plus I'd be too distracted by the movie to chat, and too distracted by chat to watch the movie. So, instead I'm going to do something else. Not sure what, yet. But something with more chat interaction, and hopefully guests and stuff. Maybe I'll also do a stream after I finish the SW movies, to chat about that experience tho. If you have suggestions about what you'd like to see me do on a stream, let me know!
Also, the link in this post goes to Eric Sophia's Twitch channel, where they're doing a big charity stream this weekend for UK trans people to get healthcare. I'll be on their stream at some point (check my Twitter for updates on when). Hope to see you there!

I did a chill little video in collaboration with Abby Williamson (she's a makeup youtuber friend of mine). Over on her channel she is going to be talking about a Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen movie, and in this video I'm talking about the Netflix Christmas film, The Princess Switch: Switched Again. This isn't deep analysis, just me chatting as I do my makeup, so I hope it's fun! I wanted to do one last video before the end of the year, and this was a good way to make that happen. EDIT: Correction, this video goes public on the 19th.
At the end of this video I do give at least one little channel update, so if you're not interested in watching me do makeup, or talking about a silly Christmas movie, jump to the last few minutes for that.

Hope you're having a great Saturday evening! Here's a new video! I have a few technical things I still need to do before the final, public version (color, some sound, adding more subtitles), plus I will probably add a few more sentences here or there to clarify or expand on things. But for the most part, this is it!
Content warning: the first big section of this video is a lengthy discussion about sexual assault in Sucker Punch. There's a clear content warning a few minutes into the video (at the start of that section) with the timecode to skip it.
I'm excited to see what you all think. Let me know if anything is too harsh, or doesn't make sense.
Now that this behemoth of a series is out of the way, I'll be able to pump out some more reasonably sized videos, more often.

Just wanted to give you an update on the latest video. It's the final Zack Snyder video, and it's about gender, and boy is it a slog to think about. The script is locked and we are recording voice over today. I can't imagine it'll be out by the end of November since there's only a week left, but it should be up for your eyes in the first week or so of December. It'll probably be 40ish minutes. These longer videos always take more time than I hope. After this video though, we have some more reasonably sized videos lined up, so I hope to not miss another month in the near future. Thanks for bearing with me!
Happy holidays, have a safe Thanksgiving, and as always thank you so much for your support!!!
