Ongoing studies on the long term effects of light therapy on cancer cells have shown promising data-based evidence. Unlike other heat lamps, the mag ray lamp uses a unique heating plate that features a proprietary mineral coating, comprised of 33 different elements. When activated, the mag ray lamp emits a far-infrared electromagnetic energy that penetrates deep into the cells and tissue area. Human cells are believed to have a higher absorption rate for far-infrared energy.
In practice, mag rays are most often used for relieving pain and stiffness in the joints and muscles while increasing circulation. However, targeted light therapy has been studied for its ability to destroy cancer cells and reduce tumors without causing damage to surrounding tissue in a person’s body.
Mag ray treatment is similar to localized hyperthermia treatments. Cancer cells are unable to survive high temperatures. By penetrating deep into tissues, far infrared rays can heat cancerous tissue. With mag ray treatment, the clinician positions a mag ray lamp for optimal exposure to the affected area, focusing the far-infrared rays directly into the tumor. The exact exposure time and the intervals of treatment may depend on the size of the tumor and the severity of the Cancer.
