Macau's casino gross gaming revenue (GGR) growth eased last week, two analysts said.

Securities firm Stern Age said its average daily GGR for the week ended May 18 was 920 million MOPs ($115.2 million), up less than 1% from a year ago and down 11% from the previous week.

The Macau gaming industry was hit last week by a series of reports on junket liquidity and a potential crackdown on unregistered mobile China Union Pay card processors. It is unclear if these reports negatively affected GGR.

Stern Age analyst David Bain, citing Channel Check, said Macau table-only gaming revenue was MOP19.2 billion by May 18. GGR run rates in May were around 15% year-over-year, including slot machine homes.

Bain kept his May GGR growth forecast between 12% and 17% compared with a year ago. "We see the GGR results checked last week as stable as usual," he said.

Wells Fargo analyst Cameron McKnight also reported a downward trend in GGR in May.

McKnight revised its full-year growth forecast for May. He now sees Macau's GGR rising between 10% and 14% year-over-year. He previously forecast growth between 14% and 16%.

Official data showed that Macau's GGR was MOP 113.5 billion in the first four months of 2014, up 17.5% year-over-year.

In May 2013, the GGR was MOP29.6 billion, an increase of 13.5% from May 2012.
