A statement from the Ministry of Defense on Iran said the following:
️ 'After the destruction of the aforementioned threat, it was determined that the part that fell in the Dörtyol district of Hatay belonged to the air defense ammunition used within the scope of the prevention activity.’
️ 'Turkey continues its responsible approach that prioritizes the preservation of regional peace and stability. However, we emphasize once again that our right to respond to hostile attitudes is reserved, no matter who it comes from.’
‘We are closely following the activities of PJAK’
️The Ministry of Defense statement also said that 'the activities of structures like PJAK that fuel ethnic separatism negatively affect not only Iran's security, but also the general peace and stability of the region,' and added:
"We are closely following the activities carried out by the terrorist organization PJAK in Iran and the developments in the region in coordination with the relevant institutions of our state.'
