MRT Buy-out

You’ve been waiting quite a while for this to happen: Waves has finally started buying back Miners Reward Tokens (MRT). This is how it works:

• Every day, Waves will buy back 500 WAVES worth of MRT from the open market.
• 20% of the MRT purchased will be burned.
• The rest of the tokens will be distributed to mining nodes in proportion to the number of blocks they have generated, with a limit of 70 blocks per day (if a node generates more than 70 blocks, it receives MRT for the first 70 only).

We have already bought back 20,495 MRT, so far. The Miners Reward Token (MRT) is a bonus token that is distributed to miners with every block created. You can use a special section on the Waves site to calculate how much you can make by mining WAVES: https://wavesplatform.com/mining.
