The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Inter Miami plays their home matches at Chase Stadium, with plans to move to Miami Freedom Park in 2026. On January 29, 2018, MLS officially approved an expansion team in Miami. The club garnered international attention prior to their founding because of co-owner David Beckham, and again in 2023 with the signing of Lionel Messi on a free transfer. Since the team began playing in the 2020 season, the club has signed several other high-profile players such as Blaise Matuidi, Gonzalo Higuaín, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suárez. Following Messi's debut, the club won their first major trophy, the 2023 Leagues Cup, which also qualified the team to the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup for the first time. In the 2024 season, Inter Miami secured their first Supporters' Shield. The team's estimated value according to Forbes is $1.2 billion as of 2025, ranking second in the league behind Los Angeles FC.

Miami International AutodromeThe Miami International Autodrome is a purpose-built temporary circuit around Hard Rock Stadium and its private facilities in Miami Gardens, Florida, United States. The track is 3.363 mi (5.412 km) long and features 19 corners with an average in a Formula One car of around 139 mph (224 km/h) in qualifying. The track was designed by Formula One track designers, Apex Circuit Design, for the Miami Grand Prix, which was added to the Formula One calendar for the 2022 World Championship.

All seven rounds were run in support of selected rounds of the 2024 Formula One World Championship, with 10 of the 15 drivers' cars sporting liveries sponsored by the 10 teams competing in Formula One during 2024. Prema Racing started the season as defending team's champions, having won the 2023 title with inaugural drivers' champion Marta García, and retained the team's championship after winning the final race. Abbi Pulling won the drivers' championship with Rodin Motorsport, clinching the title after scoring pole position for the first race at Abu Dhabi.

2024 Miami Grand PrixThe 2024 Miami Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2024) was a Formula One motor race held on May 5, 2024, at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens, Florida. It was the sixth round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship and the second Grand Prix weekend of the season to utilise the sprint format. Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing won the sprint from pole position. He also took pole position for the main race, but finished second to Lando Norris of McLaren, who took his maiden Grand Prix win on his 110th race start. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari finished third. The race marked McLaren's first victory since Daniel Ricciardo won the 2021 Italian Grand Prix. The three-day race weekend was attended by 275,000 people, which set a new attendance record for the Miami Grand Prix.

It was the sixth round of the 2025 Formula One World Championship and the second of six Grands Prix in the season to utilise the sprint format. Andrea Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes took sprint pole position for the event. Lando Norris of McLaren won the sprint ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari. Verstappen took pole for the Grand Prix. Piastri won the Grand Prix ahead of Norris and Antonelli's teammate George Russell.
