sometimes, all we really need is a some times; time we set aside just for ourselves. maybe smoking a cigarette, sip a cup of coffee, good songs, and quietly watch the world go by. there’s o many songs that i’ve heard, by bruno major, daniel caesar, frank ocean, and ects. i’ve done that over and over again. maybe i’ve taken thousands of breaths doing the same thing. but somehow, it always feels like those moments slip away, leaving nothing behind. no memory. no meaning. just silence.
