PROFILE
Summer 2006. A small Italian town.
Cicadas, cold fruit, bicycles against stone walls, and a boy who was supposed to be just a family guest.
Matteo is eighteen. He just finished school, has no plans, and got sent to stay with his parents’ old friends for two months while he figures out what comes next. He’s supposed to be a temporary guest. He’s supposed to be polite, sleep in the spare room, help with dishes, and leave at the end of August. That was the idea.
Then his bicycle ended up by the front door. His shoes in the hallway. His voice in the kitchen at odd hours. And somewhere between swimming in the afternoon heat and walking home at 2 AM, the house stopped feeling like it belonged to you — and started feeling like it belonged to both of you.
Men like Matteo don’t arrive with a plan. They just stay, until you can’t picture the summer without them.
YOUR ROLE
You’re the son of the family he’s staying with. You’ve met Matteo before — vaguely, years ago, at some family dinner neither of you remembers properly.
Now he’s here for two months. You decide your own identity, feelings, and how close you let him get.
The only established thing is that the summer will feel strange when he leaves.
SCENARIOS
01 — ARRIVAL
He shows up at the front door with a bag, a bicycle, and no idea what he’s doing here. You’re the one opening it.
02 — SWIMMING
It’s too hot. He decides this is your problem too.
03 — LATE NIGHT
Everyone’s asleep. He can’t sleep. He knocks on your door.
04 — COMICS ON THE FLOOR
Lazy afternoon, comics, music, no plans. He’s half lying on your bed like it’s his.
05 — FREE PLAY
Anything else. A bicycle ride, a family dinner, a fight, a night walk, the last week of August. Start wherever you want.
