MASQ - a renewed vision for Node

Back in 2017, during the crypto ICO boom, a seed was planted called Substratum. There was an amazing vision of an ecosystem where the current internet as we know it could be leveraged to provide a decentralized network for one and all.

As time went on, this vision turned into the Substratum Network project with the flagship product of Node as the core of a suite of products in the ecosystem.

But then things changed...

Firstly, an additional project was announced.

Then it split into two companies...

And then into two separate entities...

With one central authority and CEO.

The original project vision as the public knew it had shifted dramatically.

At MASQ, we are a passionate bunch that respects our roots, and we remain motivated to deliver this revolutionary technology to its fullest potential.

At this point in time, the MASQ committee believes that the Community at large, and the world for that matter, deserves a better project.

They deserve a better Node product.

They deserve a better User Experience, Community Experience and Internet Experience.

That's why through the principles of Open Source development and our Decentralized Governance, we have pursued a fork of the original source code to deliver what was originally envisioned back in 2017/2018.

While we (our committee) can't promise everyone gets what they wish, we want everyone to have a say - and that's what anti-censorship is all about.

Shortly you will see our social accounts come alive, links to our GitHub and Greypaper (we think you will like this concept), website start to be built out with fresh content, and a new wave of passion and energy come forth from like minded individuals.

The committee at MASQ hopes that many readers will find a renewed spirit with what we are trying to accomplish, and most importantly that other passionate people will be motivated to contribute.
