MADEIRA DRIVE AND TERRACE

I am part time and so not doing the masterwork till next year. My last portfolio was an intervention to deal with Maderia Terrace and Drive, a sad neglected place needing restoration. My concerns were how to make it work as a destination and have a use for the 21st century. 

We could do in the past but now there seems lots of reasons why not. Our built environment can affect us. Why should we not have aspirations for a pleasant place to live?  How should change occur? How do we build for people not just profit? How are the community the driver rather than in effect be ignored? How do we deal with conservation? Creating destinations and places that work for people. Places for people.
