Lydia Ko, Lee Min-ji, and others are out

The tournament will be held as part of the Ladies Asian Tour Series organized by the Asian Golf Leaders Forum, where a large number of foreign players as well as domestic players will participate.

The total prize money is also 1.5 billion won, the second-largest prize money after the Hanwha Classic (total prize money of 1.7 billion won) held in August.

Korean-American players Lydia Ko (New Zealand) and Lee Min-ji (Australia) are representative foreign players who will participate in this year's.

Both players are sponsored by Hana Financial Group, which hosts the competition.

Lee Min-ji won the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour Kroger Queen City Championship, which ended in Cincinnati, Ohio, earlier this month, and is poised to continue her good trend in this tournament.

Lydia Ko seems to have slowed down a bit since she tied for sixth place in Honda Thailand in February this year, but she will try to turn the mood around in the Korean tournament, which has been a long time since she has not performed "top 10" on the LPGA Tour.

In particular, Lydia Ko showed a strong side to the tournament held in Korea, ranking fifth in the tournament in 2021 and winning the BMW Ladies Championship, an LPGA Tour tournament held in Korea last year.

In addition, Korean fans will meet Patty Tawatanakit (Thailand), the 2021 LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year award winner, Yokomine Sakura (Japan), who has 23 wins in Japanese women's professional golf, and Bianca Pag Danganan (Philippines), who topped the LPGA Tour's driving distance in 2020.

Most of the KLPGA Tour players will participate in the season's prize money and grand prize points, Lee Ye-won, the "defending champion" Kim Soo-ji, as well as Park Ji-young and Park Min-ji.

Lee Ye-won and Park Ji-young are in first and second place by about 70 million won in prize money and eight points in the grand prize, which could change the lead depending on the results of the tournament.

Kim Soo-ji will defend her title for the second consecutive week following the OK Financial Group's Eutman Open held last week. Madasom won last week's Uttman Open.

Choi Hye-jin, who is active on the LPGA Tour, will also appear.

Choi Hye-jin won the KLPGA Tour Lotte Open in June this year, and the venue of the tournament was Bears Best Cheongna, where the tournament will be held.

The competition will raise a donation of 30 million won by donating a total of 1% of the prize money and adding the same amount from Hana Financial Group.

In addition, Hana Financial Group will donate up to 20 million won if more than birdies are recorded on the 1st and 11th holes during the tournament, and set up a "Hana ESG Zone" at the second shot point of the 17th hole to donate 1.11 million won each when the ball falls in the area.
