Cairo, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Experience of a lifetime! We chose a private full day trip. Our guide was an archaeologist with an extensive knowledge of Egyptology. We loved the small details that brought the past to life for us! We can truly recommend this trip which was both comfortable and rewarding. From the moment our air conditioned luxury vehicle arrived at our hotel, to the minute we were returned safely, we were treated like a king and a queen! We saw all of the most important sights the valley of the kings, the temple of Hatshepsut, Karnak temple and Luxor temple, and we were given the time to enjoy them. We stopped for lunch which was delicious. Everyone that we encountered were lovely and kind! We will remember our total experience for a lifetime! Defiantly recommended and will keep his number for future trips. Ragab has a specialised education in egyptology, so he truly does know what he's talking about, and he was great for answering questions!! Ragab also personalised our tour for us, given our particular interests we are also archaeologists , and gave us an incredible tour round; the valley of the kings, Hatshepsut's temple, a fun alabaster shop run by family members of one of the actual people who discovered Tutankhamon's tomb Ragab will fill you in on this story himself , the colossi of Memnon, as well as a tour of the amazing Ramses III's temple. Definitely recommended by the both of us. Our driver Khalid was amazing! He was super knowledgeable and let us go about own pace. He also helped us stay away from people haggling us and gave us an all around great experience! Also, the balloon is a must do! We had such a great time on our tour! We learned so many things and saw so many beautiful sites. We felt completely safe the entire time and had so much fun. Highly recommend! We made additional Reservations for balloons and it was a really nice time. We leave at 4am, but I definitely recommend it. I think this is a great opportunity to see the Valley of the Kings in the morning sun from above. You will then see the main ruins as you drive around. We go to Pahilus and Stone shops on the way, but it's quite expensive from the market, so good luck negotiating the price. It was hot and hard in the middle of summer, but it was fun! The guide was very friendly and attentive. I really liked his way of explaining the history of the places we saw and he took us to a restaurant where the food was very delicious. Hassan was a wonderful, generous guide, not only during the tour but throughout my stay in Luxor. I only had two days and wanted to make the most of my experience and helped me do just that. At each site he had fascinating stories and explanations and he always went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience. He is genuinely passionate and curious about the history he tells - it makes the whole experience much more meaningful. I would often stay much longer than planned at various sites and he was always patient and understanding. When I wanted to buy a carpet he went with me and supported me through the whole bargaining process which took hours. He had the best recommendations for restaurants, things to do around Luxor, etc. If you go to the sites by yourself, you will see paintings and nice images, but having a guide like Hassan makes it all come to life. Do yourself a favor and call Hassan. I preferred this over the pyramids tour. There is so much to see inside the hidden tombs of old Egyptian kings, including the mummy of Tutankhamun. He provided interesting facts, pointed out hidden secrets and had a great sense on humour. I highly recommend requesting Rajab for your tour! Easy to book, and we were even able to change our start time at relative short notice. The vehicle was air conditioned, modern, and the pick up and drop off service added to the experience. Our guide, Rajab, was insightful, funny, confident, and spoke great English. The tomb of King Tut, and the Habu Temple were highlights, whilst the staff at the alabaster bazaar were extremely helpful, and have great products for souvenirs. Highly recommend this tour for a half day. In one day my family and I visited the tombs, the valley of the kings and temples. We were picked up in a comfortable air-conditioned van and transported directly to the Valley of the Kings. Abdul was an excellent guide, very informative and captivating.
