The great thing about the internet is that no one has to know you have a serious thing for hentai pornography. Unless, that is, the porn site you have an account on leaks your personal information.
Over a million Luscious.net account holders faced that unexpected reality this week after security researchers announced a data breach affecting the site. According to the team at vpnMentor , an exposed database allowed would-be blackmailers or extortionists the ability to surreptitiously gather Luscious account holders' personal details.
Specifically, the data available included usernames, email addresses, activity logs, and location data for all 1.195 million users.
"Our team was able to access this database because it was completely unsecured and unencrypted," writes the vpnMentor team.
Importantly, vpnMentor is not saying the data was stolen by a malicious actor — just that it was wide open for the taking. That doesn't mean it wasn't stolen, however.
If Luscious users happened to use email addresses associated with their real names to register accounts, that information — tied to location data — could be more than enough to associate specific Luscious accounts with their owners.
But wait, it gets worse. The team at vpnMentor notes that they were able to access users' video uploads to the site — possibly enabling them to tie users' real names to uploaded pornographic images.
"The impact of this data breach on users could be devastating, personally and financially," reads the blog post announcing the breach. "Activity on adult sites like Luscious is the most private in nature, and nobody ever expects it to be revealed."
The breach was discovered on Aug. 15, and, after being notified by vpnMentor, Luscious fixed the issue on Aug. 19. That doesn't mean, however, that no harm was done.
"While the data breach is now closed," write the researchers, "it’s still possible that other hackers could have accessed it earlier and extracted the same data we viewed."
Of course, many Luscious accounts were likely associated with throwaway email accounts. Many, but not all.
"A greater issue of concern is the fact that many users joined Luscious on official government emails," notes vpnMentor. "We found examples of this from users in Brazil, Australia, Italy, Malaysia, and Australia."
As exemplified by the 2015 Ashley Madison hack, this type of information is practically designed for blackmail. In that case, a dating site purportedly offering to put married men in touch with women was breached, and its database consisting of usernames and emails fell into the hands of hackers. People soon began receiving emails demanding payment at the threat of exposure to their families.
At least two suicides were reportedly linked to the Ashley Madison hack.
If you just so happen to have a Luscious account, you should definitely change your password. And, going forward, when registering accounts on pornography sites please don't use an email address that happens to include your real name.

Scarlette Saintclair began modeling pin up in 2009. Turning her love for vintage fashion and classic cars into a career. Ms Saintclair was first published in a local magazine Chops in 2012 and has since had dozens of her images published in magazines such as Classy Keen, American Genuine Classic, Riot Vixen, Bachelor Pad and most recently the cover of Delicious Dolls Spicy Edition When she is not behind the camera you can find her at car shows and concerts, she is an avid supporter of the local music scene here in Orlando. Scarlette shares her “pinup know how” as a writer with columns occasionally appearing in pinup magazines such as Atomic Style Magazine, Delicious Dolls and Pink Elephant Pinup, her goal is to bring more media attention to the growing rockabilly and vintage culture in the central Florida area. Ms Saintclair has just recently written and published her first book Scarlette’s Sinful Spirits, a collection of her favorite cocktails available for purchase on Amazon.com.

Kristi Kerosene is a West Coast gal through and through, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kristi first started getting her toes wet in the modeling industry in 2010. In 2012 she was approached by an amazing photographer at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender to shoot for Tattoo Savage Magazine and ended up being featured in a 6 page spread which launched her full force into the rockabilly and pinup scene. You may have seen Miss Kerosene gracing the pages of magazines such as Tattoo Savage, Pink Bow City, and Delicious Dolls, in addition to advertisements for local small businesses. Kristi was chosen to be the face of the 2015 Missy Ink Calendar, also featuring her as the month of March. Kristi is a firm advocate for supporting women and encouraging them on their journey to pursue their dreams regardless of how unattainable they might seem. She also devotes her time to planning and hosting charity events to benefit the community and is always rooting for the underdog. In her spare time Kristi loves attending culture events with Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender being her favorite; she appreciates the class and style of a bygone era and truly enjoys being immersed in a sea of like-minded people. Her favorite color is red as you can tell from her bright red locks and ruby red lips. You can find Miss Kerosene at car shows and events all throughout the year, she's impossible to miss with her upbeat personality, infectious laugh, and smile that lights up any room!
Meow! Kitty Von Rose is an International print and cover model who has been featured in many magazine publications as well as various calendars and projects such as Dream Girls Salute The Service Calendar 2013, Pin Up Playing Cards Miss *2 of Spades, Miss Tiki Cruise, 2014, Pinups for Keep A Breast Calendar 2015 and Wardrobe Divas Special Edition Military Fundraiser Post Cards for The Semper Fi Fund 2017. This Kitty is a multiple fashion, multi era enthusiast and her closets full of stories from the past. In her college days she studied music and video production so her love and appreciation of music spans all eras and genres but totally fit her wild personality! When she's not in front of the camera, in her personal life she has spent the last 15 years taking time to advocate for Veterans Combat PTSD/TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), Fibromyalgia, Womens Health Awareness and N.A.M.I. Florida born Millie Michelle recently came home from Las Vegas to follow her pinup dream. She loves the bright neon lights, vintage shopping and treasure hunting. She started pinup modeling to show how a little red lipstick and a smile bring a world of confidence! Miss Michelle has been taking the pinup world by storm attending events around the country. Most recently Millie paced 3rd in the Miss Tiki Oasis Pageant. She has graced the pages of many pin up publications and been featured as a cover girl for both Delicious Dolls and Pinups and Hotrods Magazines. Millie also loves fast cars, all things cat, and tiki, especially when combined!
Miss Jenna Beth has had a lifelong fascination with all things vintage. Her love of history and retro cultures began in 1998 when she started swing dancing and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history. She began pinup modeling in 2006 and was first published in 2008. Since then she has been published every year in both National and International magazines including those in Australia, France, and UK. Although she still loves to Lindy hop, she has expanded her love of vintage dance to include Burlesque in 2010. She is now a full time burlesque performer as well as promo and pinup model. You can find her performing from New York to LA, multiple stops in Europe, and all over the sunshine state of Florida that she calls home.
Ally Oops is a pinup from New England who loves long car rides and car shows. Ally really loved the vintage pinup style and started entering pinup contests as a way to build her self confidence and meet like minded people. Little did she know it would grow into something much bigger. She was once even Narragansett Beers' Miss October 2016! Before pinup happened she was going to car shows at a young age with her family and still attends them now with her very own 1955 DeSoto Fireflite. When she is not at car shows, she is home sewing her dream wardrobe! She really enjoys sewing vintage and vintage inspired patterns! She loves to travel with her LL sisters to various events around the country making memories along the way.
Ruby Roswell is originally from the Great Lakes region of Ohio...not too far from the Wright-Patterson air base, which, we all know, is where they really kept those alien bodies. However, she had enough of those long, cold northern winters, so she relocated to the Sunshine State. Ruby loves rockabilly, surf rock, and Americana roots music, animals, Tiki, sewing, baking, rollercoasters, animals, and cats! Her top sci-fi fandoms include Doctor Who, Supernatural, Twin Peaks, and The X-Files. On the serious side, though, Ruby is also interested in all things paranormal and loves a good mystery or conspiracy "theory". Aside from aliens, some of her other favorite mysteries are the afterlife, reincarnation, time slips, the Mandela Effect, and black-eyed kids. Mrs. Roswell may or may not have seen a UFO once, too, while sunbathing in her backyard...or maybe it was just a weather balloon....but it totally wasn't.
Pearl Holiday attended her first Viva Las Vegas in 2016, where she met the beautiful Scarlette Saintclair who took a camera-shy vintage enthusiast and coaxed a pin-up out. Pearl got her love for all things vintage at an early age, spending many weekends perusing antique stores, swap meets and car shows. Growing up in the Motor City it's only natural she developed a love for gasoline! Her favorite era is the 1940s, from the style of the clothing to WWII history, the 40s is her passion. It's no wonder then that tiki culture has stolen her heart...all those GIs returning home with a little bit of Polynesia. She even has her own home tiki bar complete with a 1939 frigidaire. When Ms. Holiday isn’t living it up at a car show or tiki bar, she's busy renovating her 1955 Plymouth Belvedere, Edna.
Timebomb Tina, a nationally and internationally published alt and pin up model, has graced the pages of over 60 publications and currently holds 4 magazine covers. This girl has been featured in magazines from here in the U.S. of A, to Australia, Japan, and The Netherlands. She is a long time lover of all things vintage and identifies her style as "punk with a dash of retro housewife."
Timebomb Tina is a bartender by trade and a successful freelance hairstylist that specializes in vintage styles. This Texas Timebomb is always on the move and loves to keep herself busy. When she is not working hard at all 3 of her jobs and modeling, she enjoys helping her community and others in need. Timebomb Tina organizes fundraisers for local charities, hosts blood, toy, school supplies and clothing drives, as well as founded and hosts her very own annual fundraising event called Psychobilly Swap Meet, where she brings together the rocka-psycho-punka-vinta-billy community and raises money and awareness for local nonprofit organizations. "I love what pin up has done for me. Pin up to me is uplifting, it is beauty in all shapes and colors, it is embracing eras past and making it your own, it is an art...a lifestyle and it is my passion."
