Lullaname Privacy Policy
LullanameLullaname is a baby-name inspiration app. We designed it to need as little of your data as possible. We do not run any server of our own, we do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data.
What we collect
Nothing on our servers — because we have none. Everything you do in Lullaname stays on your device or in your own iCloud account:
- Your choices (the names you swipe, your shortlist/favorites, your “story” preferences, and how many children you’re naming) are stored locally on your device.
- Partner matching (optional): if you invite a partner, your liked names and matches are synced through your iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. This data lives in your and your partner’s private iCloud, governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We never see it.
- On-device intelligence (optional, newer iPhones): natural-language name search and sibling-name suggestions run entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Your queries are not sent to us or to any server.
- Siri, Shortcuts, the widget and the Apple Watch app read only the app’s built-in name reference data on your device. They send nothing to us.
- Pronunciation audio is generated on your device by Apple’s text-to-speech. Nothing is recorded or transmitted.
Lullaname is free. If we offer optional in-app purchases, they are processed by Apple and we never receive your payment details.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, precise location, browsing, or any advertising identifiers. There are no third-party trackers or ad networks in the app.
The name data
Every name, meaning, and story shown in Lullaname is reference content authored from the etymological record. It is informational and may contain errors or regional variation — please verify anything important with additional sources.
Data you can delete
Because your data is on your device and in your iCloud, you control it: delete the app to remove local data, and manage iCloud data in Settings > [your name] > iCloud. Unpairing from a partner clears your matches.
Children
Lullaname is intended for expecting parents and adults choosing names. It is not directed at children and collects no personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change accordingly. Last updated: 16 July 2026.
