Luka's Time Capsule
Better known as LTC."Hmm... Hello guys." Luka looks right at the reader. Yes, you reading this. Hello.
I suppose a narrator shouldn't talk in first person often, so I'll let your main character (decided upon themself) do the talking here.
"I've found myself sort of bored these past couple weeks. I know I have school, and I edit, and I roam on social media and... well. I have a lot of ways to keep me busy." Luka says as they look around their room. "But I wanted to do this."
They paused as they continued to look around. Their room was pretty dark. The only thing that kept the room illuminated was their laptop screen, and even that setting was rather low.
"I... don't know how to start this off but." Luka paused.
"Hello."
"If you're reading this, then I'm sure you've done something good enough to make me want to refer you to this message."
"I'm sure if you're not a typical reader you're already getting bored, so I'll be nice enough to grant you this."
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0SnbWo3yubVJQ2Oy5eF1kO?si=a23727dbda2c4b27
"Did you click on it? If you did, you should already begin to hear the music playing."
Luka pauses for a moment.
"Now if the music isn't playing and it says "Page not found, then click the Spotify tab at the top. At the top of your phone screen, it should say 'Spotify - Music and Podcasts with the button that says Open. Then you click said button and it should redirect you to the playlist and- OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE. IF THE PLAYLIST DOESNT WORK THEN JUST TURN ON CAFE MUSIC BGM CHANNEL ON SPOTIFY AND THAT'S AN ORDER."
They pause again to take a sigh, before nodding.
"This really sets the mood, doesn't it?" They look at you hopefully.
"You've read Booney. I'm sure you can read all of this in one sitting."
Luka took a deep breath and then smiled. A cheeky one indeed, you never really see Luka smile with their teeth, but they do so this one time. It's an awkward one as well, but you can see they're trying to make you feel comfortable... or maybe just themself.
"I'm here to break down some things." Luka says with the same smile on their face. You'd think they're a robot or NPC from the way they're speaking, their tone being very casual but at the same time... not very authentic.
"I'm not sure how to begin with this, but just listen." They sound like they're trying to grab your attention. Have they done it yet?
"I was originally going to start on a new version of Booney, though it was going to revolve around me more: Be a bit more nonfictional for a change." Luka shrugged, their smile fading as they looked forward with their usual neutral expression. No signs of discomfort, not yet at least.
"I have a lot of ideas in my head, so I think I'm just using this as a way to introduce a few new things I'm going to be working on." Luka says with another shrug. They seem to shrug a lot. It's not that they're unsure, more like they don't know how else to convey how they're feeling.
"I'm going to be writing about you guys."
...
"Okay, hold on. Hear me out." They lean forward, almost as if they're about to make way through your phone and into your face as you read this. "This isn't a burn book of any sort, so don't think I'm going to trash you guys in fiction OR nonfiction!"
They look off to the side rather bashfully. "...Not that I could really do that anyway."
"Ahem, but anyways. It's rather hard to explain." They scratch the back of their neck in an almost anime-boy recreation. "Think of Saiki K, maybe. I want to write sort of a slice of life thing- I've always wanted to. I like writing just to write, I don't really care about being the next best thing."
They take another deep breath and nod, their expression neutral once more.
"Each of you who have received this link will receive a whole story dedicated to you." They speak.
"I promise I won't drop this."
"There's no way I could. I'd feel horrible if I started on one person, then decided not to show any love to the rest... if you could call it that."
"I'm dedicated." Luka says before nodding. "I'm awfully motivated at nighttime; I don't know what it does to me. When I'm not on call and when I'm not really on my phone, my mind goes to creative writing."
"Perhaps I should've taken that up as a major rather than computer science." They shrug. "I think computer science will probably be handy though. Could easily bounce off that if my game writing stuff doesn't happen, or hey. You know many, many people change their majors these days."
They look at a few of you.
"Hey, I'm not judging. I've changed my major about three times now. I'm sure I'll be likely to change it in the future, so I prefer to flow and chill. Act later."
They clear their throat again.
"I digress. I'll be writing about you guys, and about myself. And sure, you'll be thinking 'Who's you guys'?!"
"Who is it indeed. Don't try and ask each other if they got this link and do not talk about this outside of our messages. I'm sure you can make the assumptions of who's received this link, but this isn't material for you to share like some sort of manga. This isn't a manga."
"This is my life."
"If this was a manga, we'd have funny panels of people exploding random shit and ugly faces and... I'm not a mangaka for a reason. Just leave that to the professionals."
Luka puts their arms out, beginning to stretch them widely.
"This is my... um."
"THIS IS MY THANK YOU!" They said in a Deku-like voice, before switching back to their regular one. "...and a way to kill time, I guess. I've been rather bored lately as I've mentioned, and I suppose writing is a good way to fight off feelings of loneliness."
They shrug.
"I'm not ashamed to say it. When I'm not online... If I were to solely rely on the people I know in person to get me through the day- Let's just say my days would be over by now."
The audience gasps.
"Woah, woah, woah. I'm not going to get too deep! Don't side eye me just yet. That's for later in the stories. I plan on dropping a chapter every day."
The audience silence.
"That's right." They begin to smirk. "Every day. I mean it this time. Unless I'm facetiming one of you, that's the event in where I'll skip writing."
They pause. "Well actually, I suppose I could just write earlier in the day. You're all in school anyways."
They smile and pat the reader on the back.
"Good for you! You're in school. I remember when I was your age." They look off into the distance.
"I probably thought my life was over. I'm not about to give you a life talk though; I feel like that's for a later chapter."
"Let's have fuuuun, let's soak in, in all of this creativity and comfortability I've been trying to leave you in, dear Reader."
Luka pauses and looks straight into your eyes.
"Okay. I suppose to put it shortly (TDLR), this is a half nonfiction, half fiction story about my day-to-day life mixed with a few chapters about my friends... or victims, however you see fit. I'm sure I probably caught you off guard by saying this was about 'you guys'. You have to put attention grabbers in the beginning of your works to keep the readers on your feet, you know. It's a rookie tactic and- Ugh. Forget it."
"I will be meshing in real life events with fictional ones and will be talking about real life topics, along with mixing in humor to make sure this doesn't turn into a dark shithole where you, my dear Reader, end up feeling bad for me or feeling discomforted and no longer wanting to read this."
They begin to smile again, one without teeth- but a genuine one nonetheless.
"You might be wondering why, but I feel like that'll be answered later. I stated earlier that each of you will have a designated chapter, and I haven't decided if I'll publicize those to all of you or just each of you individually. I feel like I would look like Hannah Baker and her tapes if I made them public. I promise I won't be shitting on you, Dear Reader. A joke here and there, but nothing worse than what I've said to your face before."
They suddenly get a bit serious.
"And nothing that'll genuinely hurt your feelings. Regardless of how I may act on call or to your face, I genuinely do care about you. I don't exactly like getting into conflict (contrary to somewhat popular belief in my friend group) and would prefer to make you feel good about yourself, so be prepared for your chapters, Readers."
They start to grin again.
"I'll be referring to you as my Dear Reader for the time being, if not most of the time, all besides your chapter."
They get serious again suddenly. "But if you are already thinking that this idea is corny, then close out and don't read anymore. I won't continue to send you the daily links and updates of this story."
"On that note though, this isn't me trying to pressure you into talking to me more (or less if you believe I'd want that), Dear Reader. This isn't a venting space either, so don't get it twisted. This is more of a creative outlet, more of a way for me to make my life more enjoyable, and maybe even yours as you read this."
They smile again. (Geez, their expressions change a lot within this story.)
"I feel like life is always easier once you have things to look forward to day-by-day, so hopefully this story can be apart of it. I can always give content warnings as well, but I don't believe those will be necessary in this story... for now."
"I know I did mention that I had other ideas, and those are more for other stories I plan on writing. Oc-related, short stories, etcetera. I've been dabbling in other genres as of lately. My brain's been working overtime when it comes to writing."
They clear their throat for the last time.
"As I was saying. My story. Yes."
They look to the right, to the left, then back at you.
"Most of what you're about to read today is half-fiction, half-nonfiction."
They tap their foot on the ground.
"Have you read my messages earlier in the group chat, you'll find some of this content to be familiar, yet hopefully not repetitive."
They nod. "I won't jumpstart start to talking about you guys, though a few names will be mentioned. Who knows if I gave mentioned names the link. Only they will know (or not if I didn't send them this... Lol.)"
"Do NOT go hunting for the other readers. It's just unnecessary. You can go against the word and do it anyway, but just know that it won't make me feel good. Maybe you won't care though... then that means I'm a bit dumber than I thought."
"I trust you, Dear Reader. So enjoy the first story ahead. It's just about February 12, 2024."

"CLICK ON IT."
"CLICK ON IT, DAMN IT!" Luka orders you.
"You gotta get used to clicking on these links. How else will I set the mood, bastard?"
...
"Okay, that wasn't necessary. I just wanted to say that."
They suddenly switch gears (Hm.) and flash you an award-winning smile, along with a thumbs up.
"THIS IS MY INTRODUCTION CHAPTER! Do NOT consider this as chapter one."
Luka knocks on the walls, and a few text fall down along with an

"You know, I could probably edit that later. I'm not so worried about making an introduction- you know me, Dear Reader." Luka says. "Let's get on with my day."
...
..
.
"Right. My day." Luka slightly scowls.
"I didn't do jackshit today."
"I was supposed to be turning in my applications for college, but my stupid ass high school didn't pick up the phone."
"I needed my GPA." They slightly growled. "...Buuuut then I checked the calendar after reaching out to two of my high schools and realized that school was actually out for the younglings. It's Abraham Lincoln's birthday- WHO GIVES A FUCK?!"
They start to breathe heavily- one who wasn't used to Luka's antics would assume that they would start frothing at the mouth next.
"I neeeeeded to turn them in." They grind their teeth as their eyes widen. "But whatever... Whatever, haha..."
They slap themself across the face.
"If I don't keep progressing, a good chunk of my readers will be asleep by the time I finish this." They sigh and lean on their arm. "...Timezones suck. I wish all my friends lived in California. Could you imagine... Oh, I could imagine it now..."
...
"No, no, no, no, how the fuck did I end up here...?" Luka says as they look around. "And why am I the only person in here?"
They look down at the table they're in and see a tray full of food.
"I DON'T REMEMBER GETTING THIS!"
They huff and puff before looking around the emptied cafeteria. "Where's everyone?! Why am I the only person in here?!"
...
"Wait." They start to smirk. "I know what's going on here." They tap their finger on their tray and start to smile. Perhaps you could imagine a nerd emoji fade in on their face as they do so.
"All of my friends are going to be here, aren't they?"
Silence filled the cafeteria besides Luka's voice.
"Um... This is the part where one of my Dear Readers joins the story."
"No, not yet."
"EH?! ANOTHER VOICE?! COULD IT BE! ONE OF YOU-"
They look up at the stopped footsteps in front of their table.
"K-K-KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! IT'S YOU!"
"Why are you talking to yourself in here, nerd?" A teasing voice replies.
Suddenly, a very realistic introduction of text and images appears next to the
manOK DAMN AGAIN .

INTRODUCTION END.
"Law, what the HELL are you doing here." Luka grits their teeth suddenly.
"What? Weren't you just going 'kyaaaaa' a second ago?" Law scowls. "Why the sudden attitude?"
"This is my nonfictional story today, no room for you."
"I am real, first of all." Law replies.
"Oh hell no." Luka says. "You're not about to take me down this road." They scowl. "I survived 2020 kinstagram delusions."
"Fair." Law nods in approval.
"...What are you doing here though?" They say in slight intrigue, ushering him to sit across for them in an interview-style.
"Oh, so first you're going to catch an attitude, then you're going to ask questions." Law said in disbelief.
"Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing. Now speak up, side character." Luka said with a bored expression.
"Watch who you're talking to, Luka." He says with a frown. "You're lucky enough that I tolerate (like) you, but if you talk down on me then we're seriously going to have a problem."
"Bae, my Dear Readers are reading this. Do not make a scene in front of them." Luka frowns, then looks at the reader.
"I'm sorry you have to deal with this- though I'm sure you're used to this by now." They smile. "Of course you are."
Luka then looks back at Law. "You're forgetting I can write you off as I please."
Law smirks. "No you can't. You love me too much to do a thing like
"Did you guys hear something." Luka says, as a distinct pound against the wall is heard- almost like somebody banging on a door.
"I don't hear anything." Luka says.
More banging.
Luka sighs.
"Okaaaaayyyyuuhhhhhhh. Let me bring him back." They frown. "It's getting lonely already."

DING!
...
..
.
"Wait, why do I look like this now?" Law looks at himself with a neutral expression. He doesn't seem disappointed by it, more just searching for an answer to one of his many questions.
"Because this fanart is goooood. Now stick with it." Luka replies, before looking at the reader.
"I won't be putting in a new introduction everytime someone comes and goes- you see, my introductions for each character (or person) will be a one time thing. Are you getting the gist of it yet?"
The reader nods.
"Good, good." They smile, before that quickly fades.
"Law, you made me forget what I was talking about."
"You were talking to yourself in this cafeteria. It's lunch time."
"It's not lunch time. It's 9:01 p.m." Luka pauses. "Okay, now 9:02."
"In this prologue, it's lunch time- if you can even count this as such." Law says with a shrug. "You're the writer, you decide what goes and what doesn't."
"Then what are you here for, Law?" Luka says with a tilt of their head.
"That's a first." Law says with a faint smirk.
"Shut up. I'm being serious. I'm sure my readers are as lost as we are." Luka looks at the reader.
Law shrugs and looks at the reader, then back at Luka before folding his arms. "You're going to tell them a good preview about what the first chapter will look like."
"Wait, really?" Luka smiles. "Great."
Law lets out a small sigh and looks a bit content that Luka didn't have a problem with the topic for discussion.
"Well Dear Reader, I've introduced you to a couple things. Setting changes, introductions, dialogues." Luka pauses. "I know you've read books before. We all have. I just need to explain to you the functions of how these daily chapters will work."
Law nods in agreement and silence as Luka continues to speak.
"This isn't a normal story, I'm not even sure there's a plot, but whatever I say GOES!" Luka nods as well. "Right, Law?"
"They're going to remove me from the story again if I disagree."
"What was that Law?"
"Right Luka."
"Riiiiight." Luka smiles. "I'm honestly getting pretty hungry, hence my mood from my introduction so I might have to wrap this up a bit early, sooorrrryyyyy."
"Don't apologize to them, apologize to yourself. You're supposed to be eating regularly." Law says with a neutral expression, though his brows look slightly more furrowed than usual as if Luka's lack of health care bothers him a bit.
"My fault. My eating schedule lowkey sucks, but we'll work on that together, right Reader?" Luka looks at you.
...
"Oh come on, did you actually eat three times today?"
...
"Okay, if you did- good job. If you didn't- you're on the same damn boat as me. Let's try do to better this week... but I'm not about to beg you to eat. If you want a food reminder, go look at those white boys on tiktok that beg you to eat for them while thirst trapping to shitty Conan Gray songs."
Law slightly chuckles.
Luka smirks.
"In my first chapter, I'll be discussing Flop City and how it would be if we all went to school together. Dear Reader, I'm sure we've discussed that topic before, but it would be actual fun to put it into writing."
They suddenly pause.
"I apologize if I don't actually upload everyday though. I'm not a Youtuber, I don't make money off this and you must know- or should know by now that my emotions are rather sporadic and I can't control how I feel at most times. If I happen to feel bad one day, I'll post a chapter the next time I feel well."
Luka smiles.
"I want to make a rentry like how I did with Booney so all the chapters can be together in one place in case you want to look back at previous ones for your own enjoyment, however I think I'll wait until I actually release more."
"It takes promise for me to be dedicated so I'll pinky promise you right now."
They extend their pinky out.
"I'll at LEAST write three chapters of this thing before dropping it. Consider this an experiment for myself."
...
"I'm waiting. Can you put your pinky out too?"
...
"Is it out? Please be out."
"Thanks."
Suddenly their expression softens.
"I feel a bit seen. A bit more connected with you after you've read all this. I might get embarrassed about this later, much like I do about the majority of my writings, but I hope you'll enjoy what's to come."
"Is this the part where you close out? Is there an ending or something that'll play now that we're sort of done here?" Law inquires.
"Sorta. Let the credits roll."
