This was a wonderful book for new series The Tannen boys and is a continuing storyline from the Bennett boys. This book involves Bruce aka Brutal from his football days and a reunion of sorts his high school love, Allison. Who went off to college and broke his heart. Theymrun into each other at a football practice of young boys when Bruce sees a young boys being harassed by a few others from the team. He intervenes and finds out that the boy is Allison's son. She came home after a turbulent marriage to start over. Shes not thrilled to see him as he is to see her. They both blame the other for the relationship falling apart but amends and apologies are made. Second chancesxarecwon and a great relationship begins again. Lots of interactions with positive messages thru out the story. Well thought our characters. Can't wait to read next book.
Fell im love with these characters immediately. Each one has their own past hurts and together they make each other stronger.
Love the chemistry between the characters and the love story. This book will heat up a cold night. It is a great read and I look forward to the other books in the series.
Y’all I’ve never been so happy about fried chicken in my life. But let me tell you, if you read the Bennett’s stories first, you’ll cry every time Mama Louise makes that fried chicken too. Bring on the water works. And with a Tannen to boot!
First let me say I read all the negative reviews and some aren’t worthy of the space. Quite a few complained about the sex, language and rough bedroom scenes. ITS AN EROTICA ADULT ROMANCE YOU IDIOTS!!! You have done no one any favors by spouting your uninformed notions about a subject you don’t like to begin with! You have lowered the rating on a fabulous book written by a successful talented author. I don’t like horror novels, so I don’t read them and I would never, never be so vindictive to write a review on something I don’t like or understand. Congratulations, you did. Did you not take the time to research what you were buying? Everyone is entitled to their opinions of course, but I would hope people would use this right responsibility and not damage others by their insufferable ignorance. I loved everything about this book. The majority of the action was between the H/h only. There was no present danger, crime or violence in the book. It was full of the right amount of angst, confusion, love and eventually trust. As normal with Ms Landish, her prose flows so effortlessly that reading her words is a pleasure. (Some authors are awkward and the thoughts don’t flow gently over the page.) This story is about how miscommunication can change the path of your life in the blink of an eye. Both the H/h each had the chance to put things to right but instead chose to believe what they saw rather than ask for an explanation and wasted 10 yrs of their life. As any loving parent would feel the h said she never regretted events because she got Cooper and he was definitely worth it all. Everything is perfect in this book. I’m so glad I read this as it remindes me how important certain things are and how easy it is to take them for granted. Thank you Lauren. Job well done.

Because of their father's gambling debts, the Tannen's lost the family farm to their rivals, well not really rivals anymore, the Bennett's. Now the Tannen brothers Brody, Bruce and Bobby work for the Bennett family. One big, happy family...well they try to get along, especially since their baby sister Shayanne is married to Luke Bennett. Bruce Tannen, star football player in high school nicknamed Brutal, is the strong, silent type. Always watching, always listening. Bruce had big plans for college ball and beyond, but life got in the way and changed his future, much the way it had for Allyson. When Bruce was younger his focus was on two specific areas, football and Allyson. He lost both. Now his main focus is on family and the farm. With Bruce's extensive knowledge of the game, he is approached to help coach peewee football. He's all in but he never expected to come face to face with his past-the one woman he loved and lost, Allyson. Allyson is just as surprised to see Bruce coaching her son's peewee football team. The past wasn't kind, the way they ended, the broken hearts. When Allyson left for college, life hadn't gone as planned. She's fought hard for the woman she is today. Lovely second chance romance. Allyson moves to back to her home town with her young son cooper and runs into her high school sweetheart ex Bruce at a football practice for cooper. They didn’t end of great terms and Bruce has held some animosity toward her. After trying to discuss it we realise their breakup was a big misunderstanding but now Allyson is hiding a secret regarding coopers dad and Bruce wants to find out what it is. Could they try again and have their happy ever after. I very much enjoyed the slow burn. It was lovely to watch them get to know one another again. I was desperate to find out what had happened to allyson in her previous relationship, there was breadcrumbs thrown it on the lead up to her owning up to Bruce. It wasn’t as dramatic as I thought it would but still rugged at my heart a bit. Their chemistry was wild and I did enjoy the dirty talk. Some maybe slightly OTT but still liked it. I enjoyed the interactions with Bruce’s family

A fantastic second chance romance with a hot cowboy to boot!
I had forgotten Rough Love had been sitting on my Kindle until Rough Edge the second story in this series was released this week. But what a great way to get through what is a tough time for everyone at the moment than to sit back and unwind with a Cowboy Romance. Especially one which features the gorgeous Bennett brothers, and their neighbours the Tannens. And this was a fantastic story that had the added bonus of being a second chance romance with a single parent to boot and although I did find it a little difficult to get into, which has been a common theme for me lately. I did enjoy it a lot, as the story was rich with emotion, extremely captivating, and the romance sweet and sexy. Not to mention the appearances of the Bennetts plentiful plus the wonderful Mama Louise was around to keep everyone in order and dole out a ton of advice and care, and really bring the family aspect of this story together. And I would happily recommend it to others, and I am looking forward to diving straight into book two.

Love it! Love it! Love it!
OMG I absolutely loved this book, I laughed, cried (With both happy & sad tears) I was angry, but most of all I felt love for this mishmash of a family. As good as each book is, the thing I love most, is the family aspect; with everyone around a kitchen table, eating good food and loving each other (In the way families do, niggling at eachother) I am downloading the next book even as I write this review!

Wow - what a story - loved it!
Sensual, steamy and totally mindblowingly romantic - warts and all. Down to earth it may be but soulmates are anything but - especially if one of them needs more convincing than the other! Loved this. Beautifully written and extremely moving. Thank you LL! 😘😏😉😍❤

A great second chance romance
Rough Love is the first standalone book in the Tannen Boys series. This book was so good, I was hooked from the start. I really enjoyed the story and I loved the connection between the main characters Bruce and Allyson. I'm now looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
