Kai went from a side character to someone we want to protect at all costs. Who plays him in The White Lotus ? Here’s everything to know about actor Kekoa Kekumano.
Spoilers ahead if you are not caught up on all episodes of The White Lotus.
In the HBO satire comedy , Kai was introduced as an employee at The White Lotus hotel who took interest in Paula, Olivia Mossbacher’s friend. The two began to sneak out at night because Paula didn’t want Olivia to find out about them.
Unfortunately, Olivia finds out and isn’t happy about Paula ‘s secret. We begin to see why Paula keeps things from Olivia and that the friendship isn’t what it seemed.
After The White Lotus episode 5, however, we are all worried about Kai . Paula gave Kai the passcode to the safe in the Mossbacher’s room and told Kai the room would be empty for a large part of the day. Kai was reluctant at first, but agrees to it. Sadly, things don’t go according to plan.
Kai manages to leave the hotel running, but he isn’t in the clear just yet. What will happen to Kai? Will he be caught? If he is, will he tell authorities that Paula helped him with the information?
We’ll have to watch the series finale, episode 6 , to find out! In the meantime, where else can you see Kekoa Kekumano, the actor who plays Kai?

The actor portrayed a young Arthur in 2018’s Aquaman, and he was also in several episodes of Hawaii Five-O. Fans may also remember Kekumano from and episode of Inhumans.
We know we haven’t seen the last of the actor. On the contrary, Kai has captured our hearts and has been trending since the latest episode aired on HBO. And this wouldn’t have happened without Kekumano’s brilliant portrayal. We’ll be keeping you posted on where you can see the actor next!

The White Lotus continues to entertain audiences with Armond vs Shane, but episode 5 shifted our attention to something more sad and tragic. What will happen to Kai?
Spoilers ahead if you have not watched The White Lotus episode 5. Watch the latest episode on the HBO app or HBO Max before reading on.
After Paula (Brittany O’Grady) learns the value of Nicole’s (Connie Britton) jewelry, she tells Kai ( Kekoa Kekumano ). Paula informs Kai that she and the Mossbacher family will be out for several hours and suggests that Kai break into the safe in their hotel room to steal Nicole’s bracelets.
Kai doesn’t want to, but Paula insists, so Kai eventually gives in. Audiences know right away that things will not go according to plan.
As predicted, Nicole is upset with Mark so she storms back to the hotel room where Kai is in the middle of his heist. Kai almost makes it out after scuffle with Nicole, but he is tackled by Mark. Still, Kai fights Mark off and runs out.
We are so worried! And angry. Even though Paula wasn’t planning on this happening, you can’t help but think how Kai would have been just fine had he not met Paula.
Kai managed to escape, but he’s now on the run. Will he be captured? If so, it can go one of two ways: Kai will either tell the police that Paula is the one who gave him the password to the safe and told him about the jewelry in the first place, or Kai will keep that information to himself and take the full blame.
Either way, it doesn’t look good for Kai and that’s pretty devastating. Before meeting Paula, he was doing just fine. Sure, not perfect, but better than what may happen if Kai is caught.
Which way do you see this story going? Will there be a happy ending for Kai? The next episode, episode 6, “Departures,” is the last one for the miniseries. However, there are talks of renewing the satire comedy for another round. This has happened before, with Big Little Lies, which was also meant to be a limited series but ran for two.
