Lost Dogs: The Way. How to Play

Lost Dogs: The Way. How to Play

Game Description

The game lasts for 6 weeks and is a social competition based on cooperation and strategy development to influence and predict the outcome of the day (hereafter referred to as “Round”). The outcome of each Round is entirely dependent on the choices of the players and excludes any element of chance.

Brief Rules

  • Each round, players choose one of 3 cards.
  • By choosing a card, players bet their BONES points on it, increasing its popularity.
  • Each round has a goal: to determine the most popular, average, or unpopular card by the number of BONES.
  • If you correctly identify the card that wins by the end of the round, you will receive a bonus in $NOT and $WOOF.
  • By exchanging your $NOT for BONES, you increase the amount of NOT you will receive if you win.

Main Rules

 • Each round, players are given a choice of 3 cards, which represent possible scenarios in the game world.

 • Each round, players receive one of 3 objectives, which determine which card will be considered the winner.
These objectives are:
- Determine which card will be the least popular among the participating players by the end of the round, i.e., will gather the minimum number of BONES;
- Determine which card will have average popularity among the participating players by the end of the round, i.e., will gather an average number of BONES
- Determine which card will be the most popular among the participating players by the end of the round, i.e., will gather the maximum number of BONES.

 • Each player independently decides how to choose a card based on the round’s objective. We recommend actively communicating with other participants to determine which option the majority or minority leans towards.

 • By choosing one of the 3 cards, a player adds their available BONES to it. Thus, the most popular card can become one chosen by the fewest players if they collectively have more BONES than the players who voted for the other cards.

 • In each new round, all players receive new BONES to participate in the game. The number of BONES can be increased by performing various in-game actions such as:
- Inviting friends to the game.
- Holding Lost Dogs NFTs in a connected wallet.
- Exchanging $NOT for BONES.

 • When a round concludes, the game enters a state of result calculation. After the calculation is completed, players see a results screen, indicating which card achieved the set goal, the distribution of players’ choices, and the rewards the player received at the end of the round.

 • The player receives new BONES, and a new round begins.

Withdrawal of $NOT

If a player exchanged their $NOT for BONES in the current round, the $NOT rewards are credited directly to their connected wallet within 24 hours after the round ends.

If a player did not exchange their $NOT for BONES or does not have a connected wallet, their $NOT will be displayed in the “Profile” section in case of a win. By clicking the “Claim” button, they can connect a wallet and withdraw them, provided the network fee is paid.

Acquiring BONES

In brief: each new round, you receive BONES for inviting friends who reach the Silver League, as well as for holding NFTs from the Lost Dogs collection and the Lost Dogs: Mutagens collection in your wallet. BONES received for $NOT will allow you to earn more $NOT  if you win.

By choosing a card, a player transfers all their available BONES to that card, and they are no longer available until the end of the round. Any BONES earned after confirming the choice will carry over to the next round.

At the start of a new round, the player is awarded new BONES according to the following rules:

  • Each player receives 1 BONES by default to participate in the game.
  • Each player receives 1 BONES for each invited friend during the first 7 days after the friend enters the Silver League.
  • Each player who has NFTs from the Lost Dogs collection in their connected wallet at the start of a new round receives 50 BONES for a first-generation dog, 5 BONES for a second-generation or higher dog, and an additional 5 BONES if a specific NFT did not participate in the breeding mechanic.
  • Each player who has NFTs from the Lost Dogs: Mutagens collection in their connected wallet at the start of a new round receives 50 BONES for any mutagen, except mutagen №69, which grants 69 BONES.

Every player can exchange $NOT for BONES. This allows you to obtain up to 999 BONES per round. The current exchange rate is shown in the BONES section; the rate may change during the game.

Note:

  • BONES received in exchange for $NOT allow players to claim the largest share of the $NOT pool distributed among winners at the end of the round.
  • After making a choice in the current round, all BONES received afterward are retained in your balance and carried over to subsequent rounds.

Acquiring $WOOF

In brief: if you do not miss a single day and regularly make choices, by the end of the game, you will receive at least 10 times more $WOOF than at the start.

A player receives the centralized (at the time of the game) token $WOOF for almost any action in the game.

Example: the first login of the day, choosing a card, whether their card wins or loses, exchanging $NOT for BONES, or completing tasks in the game.

The amount received varies depending on the specific action and various boosters active for the player; more details about these will be written below. The most significant amount can be obtained if the player’s chosen card wins the current round.

You can increase the amount of $WOOF you receive using several in-game mechanics:

1. Daily Accumulative Booster “WOOF Booster”

Every day when you log into the game, your booster will grow if you have not missed previous days.

Example: on the first day, you might receive 1000 $WOOF for choosing a card; on the third day of the game, you will receive 1250 $WOOF; on the tenth day, you will receive 2000 $WOOF under the same conditions. The booster affects all $WOOF rewards in the game.

You can view your booster level by clicking on the $WOOF balance on the main game screen. If you miss one game day, the $WOOF booster will reset to the initial value of x1.

2. One-time Win Modifier

In addition to the accumulative booster, a player can double their potential $WOOF winnings for a specific day by purchasing a special bonus for Telegram Stars in the BONES section. If the player's chosen card wins on the day the bonus is purchased, their $WOOF bonus doubles after applying all other modifiers. If the player’s chosen card does not win on the day the bonus is purchased, the bonus is lost.

3. League Modifier

The more $WOOF a player has, the higher their league. The higher their league, the more $WOOF they receive for actions in the application.

Example: a player in the bronze league will receive 10 $WOOF for logging into the application on the tenth day; a player in the platinum league will receive 30 $WOOF for logging into the application on the tenth day.

The league modifier is not considered in all $WOOF bonus calculations, unlike the daily modifier, but it provides a significant bonus. The league modifier is triggered when calculating the reward for player actions in the game, for example, when logging in for the first time of the day, when selecting a card, or if a card is lost.

4. Squad Bonus

If a player in a squad selects a card that wins at the end of the day, and more than 50% of the squad members who voted in that round chose the same card, each of them receives an additional bonus in $WOOF. For this condition to apply, at least 20 players from the squad must have voted.

Squads

In brief: if a squad unanimously votes for one card and it wins, all voting and winning squad members receive an additional bonus in $WOOF.

If a player in a squad selects a card that wins at the end of the day, and more than 50% of the squad members who voted in that round chose the same card, each of them receives an additional bonus in $WOOF. For this condition to apply, at least 20 players from the squad must have voted.

Leagues

In brief: the more $WOOF a player has, the higher their league. The higher their league, the more $WOOF they receive for actions in the app.

Example: a player from the Bronze League will receive 10 $WOOF for logging into the app on the tenth day, while a player from the Platinum League will receive 30 $WOOF for logging into the app on the tenth day. The league modifier is not considered in all $WOOF bonus calculations, unlike the day modifier, but it provides a significant bonus for completing tasks and in case of a round loss.
